Just got the text on my phone - 7.4mag is pretty damn big, I'm hoping it was far away enough from anyone to do any damage or kill anyone.

If anyone can find any more information as it comes in, please share. So far this is all I got to go on, but it's the USGS.

These earthquakes are really shaking things up a bit (pun intended).

7.4 is indeed pretty big.

Enough to take out a city anyway.

That's near New Zealand right? Where ever New Zealand be these days.

shallow aswell at 22 miles depth (preliminary), I'd expect Vanuatu and the Eastern coasts of Australia to be on Tsunami watch at the moment.

50km from landfall in 3600m of water so not likely to do too much I think, but it depends on the shape of the seabed there.

77 miles from the volcano that is playing up.

And now down to a 7.2

I've been checking, no updates yet on tsunami warnings, however there has to be one for the area effected. This just occurred so it may take a little while for the full details to come to light.

Tsunami message WCATWC (says nothing as of yet)

NOAA (doesn't seemed to be updated yet either)

Well none that I can see.

This is a 6.7 Mb. At the depth as I said previously there probably will not be much effect.

Isn't it quite strange that they always downgrade them and never upgrade!? At the EMSC site it's still 7.4 mag.

it depends. there will only be the potential for a tsunami if the shift is vertical, if it is side to side not so much risk....

Wow 7 healthy EQs today at Vanuatu. 6 of them over 5 & 2 of those 7.5 & 7.6? Hopefully, the 7.5 & 7.6 are the same one.
