You don't get healthcare in Canada without your cards. Without cards you get billed, so I don't really see the point with the Health Care issue you raised.

It's a moot point.

Who are you planning to bill?

Do they get credit cards also when they cross over?

I understand where your coming from, I do, but in Canada, we service those with cards, BEFORE we service those without.

I know it's hard to understand, as America is fundamentally different, but we would ENCOURAGE illegals to come here and then give them a proper path to becoming legal residents.

We need more population, the only way to do is Immigration, illegal or legal.

With our more "socialist" democracy, it's actually really hard to be an illegal immigrant, you don't get very many perks from being out of the loop.

Ha, my friend, it isn't. If they are illegal they won't have cards. They are in Canada now, because they have no money, and no jobs. How will they be collected upon, with the billing? Might as well flush that paper down the potty! Your tax dollars will end up covering illegals. Doubt it, just look to the experience in the US!

Not news dude. They've been here forever and we don't castigate them like they do in the States. Um, you may want to do a little research into the society in which you are trying to mold. Fear mongering doesn't play up here. :shk:

Okay so they won't get serviced until they get cards. They don't get cards until they can become a citizen after 3 years of showing residence. Would they expected to take care of each other and spread diseases amongst each other.

TB is the most threatening of such diseases as many illegals are prone to it.

Inevitably Canada will encounter immigration issues, but the effect will be mitigated by distance and snow. In fact, there are already immigration issues occurring.

Call it what you want, but backtracking from what you have already admitted to is crap. Essentially confirming what the article is talking about. Now if you don't have anything to add, just troll somewhere else.

Please................take them all. Then we won't have to castigate them anymore!

Feed the hungry, tired, and poor. Take care of all their needs not met in Mexico, or wherever!

You are welcome to all of 'em!

No offense, but I think it's easy for you to spew all of this, because you are not feeding illegals, or paying for their health care.

When your taxes go up, do to the nature of above, you may have a different attitude.

Until then, post your address, so they can all come live at your house!

like another poster mentioned, they don't remain illegals for long and they become much loved and respected members of the community.....not looked down on.

We have a lot of resources up here and they help make use of them.

again, I must bring up the olympics...the love all around for every race, and religion was awe inspiring.... no crime.

I only saw one drunk guy NOT from here being sent home, and the police were even high fiving and hugging everyone along with the rest of us.....they werent harrassing us for drinking unless we had open bottles and then you just had to put it away or be more descreet and get a starbucks cup or something...

I know us canucks are looked down on too, so screw that, we are happy for many reasons.

Not fear mongering, but just as I had suspected that the Northeners do think different than us. Plus our governments are set up differently.

I don't think any of us would have a problem with this. We are ready to ship and you are ready to accept. This would be a win win for everyone involved.

I think we might have come to a real solution for the Illegal problem faced here in the US and we owe many thanks to our neighbors up North for this.

Actually, you first arrive in Canada as an Illegal, whether you use the proper method or not, your given a work visa and then you apply for Residency, once you have Residency, you are able to apply for healthcare, but it's not the "full coverage" a citizen gets..I might be wrong on that last part.

In any case, once you are a working ,contributing member of society, even not an "official" citizen, you get access to most of our perks.

One just has to be a resident in the ER to see it for themselves. TB is the most prevelant of chronic diseases found in Illegals along with STD's with Herpes & Secondary & Tertiary Syphilis being the most common.

Oh my, how America has changed:

The Statue of Liberty

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me.
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.
"

The Statue of Liberty was a gift to the people of the United States from the people of France. She stands in the middle of the harbor of New York City. She is a symbol of hope and freedom for immigrants.

You know what? We'll take them. TTTP wasn't joking. What you got down there? 3,000,000? Damn, that's a bonus of 8% to our population. We don't see these people like you do. Then again our media isn't as politically corrupt...... yet.

It seems like you WANT us to be upset or in some uproar or something....

Instead of being glad we would be happier about taking your 'problem" off your hands and playing nice, you want us all bitter...... not our way....

3 million Canucks would be much appreciated for our Tax Base.

The culture as well.

We don't have enough Mexican culture in this mosaic I think.

Well, I am a little bit bitter. My identity was stolen while I lived in Arizona, by an illegal, who was not, Mexican, by the way.

I have an Asian sounding name, and my identity was stolen by an illegal Asian.

If that is what you want in your country, have at it!

Actually Blanca, we don't have a huge identity theft issue here in Canada, because our privacy laws are so strict.

That's not to say we don't have it, but it's not as rampant as in the States.

Look, I understand you all are frustrated with your situation, but you have to realize that we handle immigration in a TOTALLY different way than you do.

Like 100% different. This would NOT be a problem to the average Canadian because we are confident in our immigration policy.
