Too cool. When I was a new ATS member, I usually averaged 20-30% on political/government quizzes.

I love ATS.

F & S Thanks for the link, kinda cool and fun.

Surprised myself and scored 95%. Dumb assed me didn't know there had been 27 amendments to the Constitution. At least I wasn't instructed to leave the country.

No apologies from you needed. You said a lot of the right things. I went to highschool, not all that long ago, here in the state of Nevada. It was declining then, and it is collapsing with everything else today. It is we the people who should be sorry, we handed our kids a corrupt institution as the center of their education. Inaction by parents and real teachers got us to where we are today. Especially in highschools. My generations parents seemed to think they could just ignore teenagers by calling them "Young Adults" when they are in fact at their dumbest stage of adolescence. They literally left us in the wild.

And we attack all the wrong things for it.

Kids gun each other down? Blame the guns.
Kids doing drugs? Blame the drugs.
Kids having sex? Blame condoms.

If this is how trite our society has become when it comes to dealing with what education ACTUALLY is, w shouldn't be surprised by the numbers. One criticism I find valid when it comes to the American Psyche is our inability to take the blame when it is due. We instead settle for kicking the can further down the road hoping someone else is smart enough to figure it out.

Meanwhile a neighborhood in Chicago is burning. And this trend will spread until we stop treating our children like criminals in a prison, and start teaching them the essentials of life.

But I'll admit...I guessed on the INS form...it was an educated guess...but a guess none the less.

I can climb a fence or tunnel under one, so I have what it takes to be a US citizen.

Well... I guess I'd better stay home. I only reached 50 %

Is this seriously all it takes to come into this country?

Well, I don't know what is worse. How easy that test was or the fact that a large majority of Americans would have failed this.

Believe me this is not the extent of the test, nor is it the only step on the path to citizenship. It takes a lot more than that.

The only one I got wrong is the one about the INS form.

19. What INS form is used to apply to become a naturalized citizen?

Form N-200 "Petition for Naturalization" is not correct.
N-400 "Application for Naturalization"

I guess that's one of the disadvantages of being a natural born citizen.

Although, something tells me that Obama wouldn't have gotten that one wrong.

100%, and glad I am not the only 'merican here that did.

And yes, I knew the INS form question was N-400 because a friend went through it with his wife. But it is also a trick question because it is no longer INS. The old INS was changed as part of the creation of DHS.
