People are so determined to hate Obama that they still find a way to criticize him when he does something they have been asking to be done under the last President Bush.

I can imagine getting a new job and then having been barraged with complaints regarding all the issues your predecessor failed to adequately address.

1200 is better than 12, and it's just a start.

Stop complaining that this is a PR stunt when it's something people needed to have done anyway.

....President Bush spoke on national tv night and called for 6,000 National Guard troops to be deployed to the U.S.-Mexican border. ...

Again this is a PR stunt compared to the attempts from the past.

Deny Ignorance, Lee.

First of all it could be 12, have you read this thread at all?

Second of all 1200 troops who will be nothing more than lookouts are not helping in the least. 12000-19000 illegals get around our 20,000 border patrol agents each day. Helping them spot the ones they can't do anything about does nothing, but wastes money and distracts from the issue.

Open your eyes and you will see.

UPDATE for the OP: Just crossed the wires.

Those 1200 troops are not for stemming ILLEGAL Immigrants. They are for stopping the flow of guns south into mexico. That should be a peach, as the guns come from Venezuela and Iran.

Just as many had stated earlier:

This Is A PR Stunt

That's disturbingly talking point-ish, something one of those party tool talking heads vomit on cable news defending dear flock commander...

I mean seriously, it's safe to say NOBODY remotely in-tune with reality was "asking (to be done)" obama for 1,200 troops..lol, that's ridiculous!.. people were and are asking for a much more secure border, among other things..

And, uh.. why is it "obama hate"?.. don't exclude the "Federal Govt hate" and "hate for 'official' chronic border incompetence".. obama isn't the first or last puppet to try and make an obviously pathetic gesture look like (insert grab line--> a "clear" and sign the US govt takes the security of it's citizens very seriously!.. lol
