These two were voted out and will unfortunately not participate in the final on Saturday. Why these two were voted out, and some certain others were voted in instead, I have no clue. It must be a conspiracy. I mean, i.e. Serbia's contribution (really? Whaaaa??), and Iceland (granted, the lady can sing. But the song was boring and not so original). But lets see on Saturday how it goes...

Slovakia (Kristina - Horehronie) :

FYR Macedonia (Gjoko Taneski - Jas ja imam silata) :

I'm here!!

To be honest Hellmutt; a large portion of the music on Eurovision Song Contest is so "pop" and overproduced, tired approach, appealing to senior citizens and preteen girls; I find it very hard to muster any interest.

However the production values are great and there is a feeling of festiveness and any event that fosters the drinking of alcohol and pretty women being showcased warrants one of these guys

Also worth mentioning...
It is so refreshing to see European fashion and urban style. Real class!

10 minutes left of voting (2nd semifinal). IMO, the best songs tonight were: Ukraine, Sweden and Azerbaijan. I'll be very surprised if any of these should not advance to the final. I liked Ukraine best.

Sweden is in shock today. This is the first time they are not qualified for the ESC final (since their debut in 1958).

Go Ireland!!

The eurovision is hilarious, its so bad its good.

Edit to add - its not a fair contest nowadays anyway, lots of countries giving the highest scores to their neighbours

The final starts now!

I hope that Ukraine will win, as I believe it's the best song. Her performance in the semi-final was perfect. I hope that she'll make no mistakes tonight.
