There is an Ad, at least I think that's what it is, at the bottom of the Home Page. It is a white box and has “ast” and a blinking cursor, says something like “blah find it” can’t make it out. Is anyone else getting snapped to the bottom of the page? Did this on FF and IE. Just making the staff aware. May not be this specific item causing it, but the fact that it has a blinking curser leads me to believe it is what’s causing it.

Yes I am. It's also happening to me on the News and ATS Firehose pages.

When I first came onto ATS it brought me to the bottom of the page which I thought was strange.

It's the QuantCast traffic/stats widget ... having an issue apparently.

The "snap" to the bottom of the page appears to be caused by a _javascript ='this.focus()' call which places the cursor inside that textbox.

Nothing to be concerned about, aside for the nuisance factor, and they'll probably have it resolved shortly.

When it comes to advertising and hits, nothing is by accident.

Quantcast is a new breed of measurement service helping buyers and sellers quantify the characteristics of digital audiences against which they can activate addressable advertising solutions.

Yep ... makes sense to me too

Peace

Yeah, the same thing keeps happening to me too! What's up with that? At first I just thought my browser had a glitch but it looks like the glitch may belong to ATS.

Nothing is happening to me. I'm using fire fox as well. Wired! Maybe you guys should restart your computers just in case. Works for me sometimes.

I had a similar thing happening to me last week....turns out the cat had fallen asleep with one paw across the keyboard.

Go figure.

That was happening to me last night, but it seems to have stopped now.

I figured it was just an ad or something like that.

I have been having troubles too for 2 days and right now, the page will not stay still, and automatically snaps to bottom. I can scroll up but as soon as I move from scroll bar, the page snaps down to the bottom again. It only happens on my news firehouse and ats firehouse. Sometimes everything is fine, then it returns.
Who is this Quantcast? Crafty saboteurs if you ask me. Either data mining, muddying up our access, or peering into our communications(paranoid side of me). I would bet it's some kind of marketing crap.

Oh well, I am confident the Mods can fix it, I have faith in our peeps!

Peace
