A very interesting official and unclassified document coming from the “Project Sign” (1947-1949), released from the “Headquarters of Air Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio″.

Some aspects very intriguing is the content in the so-called “Appendix C”, written from G.E. Valley, Scientific Member of the Office of the Commander of the USAF. The title is “Some Considerations Affecting the Interpretation of Reports of Unidentified Flying Objects”. In this document it is made the point (in 1949) about the UFOs phenomenon.

This document asserted that UFOs are subdivided in 5 categories. The first category asserts that many numerous reports and sightings come from daylight sights, about "Metallic Objects in the shape of Disc". These objects have the ability to high speeds and accelerations. They can be moved in group, some times in formation. They have the ability to fluctuate. The second category is those of the so-called “night lights”, also these able of very high speeds and accelerations.

This document illustrating also how (the UFOs) they can be propels these “unknown objects”, and it is gone from solid objects that use unusual propellents, to that those go from which produce “beams”, to the hypothesis that the UFOs use the "magnetic waves of the Earth".
G.E. Valley, moreover, asserts the hypothesis of the possibility to build (in the 1949) an “anti-gravity shield”. Moreover from the disturbing hypothesis that besides the classic “Alien spaceships” there could be in the Earth atmosphere “Biological UFOs ”, as an unusual forms of extraterrestrial life.
Disturbing hypotheses but that they come from official sources.

The pages from the document shown here describe nothing but interpretations of various reports. We have reports and witnesses of UFOs and abductions occurring every week, if not everyday. And anyone can interpret those.

That document doesn't serve as evidence that we have had, or have been in contact with inteligent extra-terrestrial life. At least, not from what is shown in Appendix C.

On the other hand, it clearly shows an acknowledgement from the Air Force, in 1949, of the interpretation of UFOs being from extra-terrestrial origin, which is better than denying that possibility altogether.

As you say, they are interpretations of what these objects and sightings may or may not be.

But curious to note though, is for decades we have never heard the interpretation from official military or government bodies anywhere near to what is written on these documents have we!

For decades the interpretations have been Venus, swamp gas, weather balloons, terrestrial aircraft. Never alien craft.

Notice the accurate "probable" explanation about "their" propulsion through the Earth magnetic field.

You should be seeing a scroll bar beneath each page to scroll to the other side of the document...

Good thread Antor, I'm personally convinced beyond doubt that Alien Crafts have been and are visiting us for a long time now! Although it would be interesting to see more documents detailing these events on a more recent bases. Majority of these documents are being dug up from the 40-50s arras, I'm sure so much has changed in the last 50-60 years... curious what has? Perhaps some ET leaving Earth... or.. new ones visiting earth! etc..

It is an interesting summary. I might take the document at face value because:

The scientific advisory board doesn't scoff at an ET hypothesis nor does it try and push an unfounded belief. It seems quite neutral in regards to ET which probably reflects the time period.

Interesting documents.....I may be missing something , but where in the document is it confirmed that there are UFO's and EBE's in Earth's atmosphere?

I see where this is hypothesised in the document, but not where it is confirmed.

I like how more and more is coming out for public knowledge. We are obviously is an era of knowledge as disclosure could be coming sooner than we may know it. The Discovery Channels, movies and scientists are talking more and more about this as possibilities. Maybe there is a subtle hint to the world for us to keep our eyes open. I am also curious to what is out there under/near the Sphynx. More knowledge to shock the world as we know it? Just maybe so...

WHERE does this come from? It says Project Sign, but where does this specific document come from? How was it obtained? I don't mean to be rude, but this is the kind of thing that you have to give a source for.

Unclassified apparently? I suppose that means it was retrieved via the FOIA? I personally don't buy it. The process of getting documents through the FOIA is extremely difficult. You have to know precisely which document you're looking for, and submit an application for it, then wait several months. Unfortunately you can't just browse through a catalog =) But even if you know of a certain document, that's just the start of the battle. Sometimes they are flatly denied. For each FOIA request, a government employee must personally read through all the material to determine any threat to national security (a term more widely abused than 'terrorist'). They'll either black out the sensitive material, or refuse to release the document altogether.

If this was not obtained via the FOIA, and was leaked... then why does it say Unclassified?

edit to add - Being unclassified, it should be freely available to the public... no? *looks around*

ROFL, there happens to be a scroll bar, that you could move to the right to be able to look at the content, that in the first place you could not look at.
