I think the initial question of this topic has been answered, it was a quake in Brazil. The other issues, such as possible causes of it are another topic.

My point was the whole earth lurched meaning shifted in space as if there was a pocket, much like when an aircraft hits an air pocket.
I felt this pocket here in se asia.
No quake of whatever magnitude can do what i have just described.

Alex Collier had said, I think it was in January of this year, that we're headed into the Galactic Plane, right? And that the Earth would sort of bounce as it entered the energy field.

I wonder if that was it?

Entirely possible.
But its a very different ball game to work out the physics for it.
