You really think that's a star? It's the only one in the sky. Kinda coincidental.

Honestly......I don't know what the hell it is.

That's why I posted it. I had hoped some one would be able to debunk it or at least explain it by now. lol

Because the image of the object is so tiny it will probably be impossible to 'debunk'. Sorry!

But hey maybe that's a good thing! Tell your mom she has a 100% un-debunkable image of a UFO!

Ventessa.....

Thanks for posting your interesting photo!

I really can't make out much from that.....it's so small!

If you feel inclined to want to e-mail the original image to me, I can get it put through an interesting S/W application that sometimes brings out details.

If that's of interest, let me know & I will U2U you with one of my e-mail addresses.

Kind regards

If that is everything supplied with the picture further analysis would be difficult. Better Cameras save the exposure time with the advanced picture information. The only way i can think of is takeing a photo under the same conditions with a better camera with the same iso settings. (Same Time & Direction) But.. In automatic operating mode the camera chooses the exposure time & ISO for you. If it don't save it with the picture there is no way of knowing.

The object appears to be what is often referred to as a blurd. The main characteristic of blurds is that they are never seen at the time the photograph is taken, only later when the photograph is viewed.

A blurd is an object moving across the field of view of the camera. The reason they are not noticed at the time is that they are fairly close the the camera and are nothing out of the ordinary. A blurd is a bird.

Phage.....

Yup.....unfortunately it's almost always a bird.....

I was curious to see if Tauristercus' app as used in the LA UFO thread brought out the shape a little.

Cheers

Doesn't look like a blurd.

I inverted some colors and contrast. It almost looks like a true saucer shape in this view. I honestly think the other object at the left of it is a star. That below it is the moon that the pic was of.

I did not manipulate the object in the image at all. Only the color and contrast of the whole image, then I resized it.

Logic would lean towards a bird or bug. But after seeing this, I just don't know. It's too bad we don't have a better relationship of distance from the object to the camera.

Does look like a saucer.

Sensibly, of course it's a bird; but it's not nonsense to see that it isn't.

well, i bet that the flash on camera was used (automatically probably). This information was recorded on EXIF in the original file...so, as usually, we need original image.

If so, then, the "UFO" is a bug, the white point is the reflected powerfull light of the flash from the bug or it's wings (because bug is only just meters away), taking 1/500 seconds or less, while the elongated blur is the image recorded (bug moving) during the exposure time of the camera (which is longer than the duration of the flash).

I have an example of the phenomenon, a button, moving (CANON S2 IS camera, flash used) and then static (no flash)

found it in my ATS photo collection:

FWIW, here's the EXIF data from the first photo posted:

File Comment: CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 80
File: 540 × 720 JPEG
27,446 bytes (0.026 megabytes) Image compression: 98%

JFIF

JFIF Version 1.01
Resolution 1 pixels/None

File — basic information derived from the file.

Bits Per Sample 8
Color Components 3
Comment CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 80%0a
Encoding Process Baseline DCT, Huffman coding
File Size 27 kB
File Type JPEG
Image Size 720 × 540
MIME Type image/jpeg
Y Cb Cr Sub Sampling YCbCr4:2:0 (2 2)

Normally there is some information on what kind of hardware took the photo. To the OP, was this the original, unedited photo taken straight out of the camera? If not, could you post that image without cropping or resizing it? Operations like that have a nasty habit of removing EXIF data.

Ventessa.....

I received the photo.....thank you.

We'll see if we can bring out any shape at all that might help to identify it, albeit there is not a great deal of info with which to work.

But hey.....nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Kind regards

Ventessa…..

I’ve had a look at your Mum’s photo.

1. ENHANCED IMAGE:

The image on the left has been enlarged with Sizefixer XL.

www.fixerlabs.com...

The image on the right has been enlarged with Photoshop.

I can’t draw too many conclusions.

If the object is in the distance, I note I’ve previously seen aircraft reflecting the sun combined with a contrail shadow produce a similar effect. However, I don't the photo is a particularly good match with that.

If the object is close, it could be a bug (as per DepthofField) or a blurd (as per Phage). I note it probably isn't an alien lightcraft mothership (as per Zaiger)!

So I don't know what it is which means that to me, it remains a UFO!

Did it in any way try to use spirit light talk on you via the photograph? To me it looks like a late model scout ship.
