He did die of cancer. He was not the only credible astronomer to consider the possibility of Planet X. Lowell coined the term Planet X back in 1906. Lots of astronomers looked for Planet X.

Dont get angry because you cant debunk it phage. Present evidence proving otherwise or please keep your bitter comments to yourself. Thankyou.

He's not angry, he's frustrated that no matter how many times he proves this stuff is nonsense, people keep coming back insisting that it's true.

You'd think he would learn to post links and evidence instead of just saying "It's on the hoax board", which proves nothing other than there is a lot of controversy about the subject.

Who is really going to go search that board? Deny ignorance and a "holier than thou" attitude and post the evidence. Surely such actions would help to stem the tide of questions from people who aren't necessarily familiar with past posts.

The original thread has been referenced several times. Including once by me moments ago. The proof of the hoax is in that thread.

People, in general are quick to forget that when they are 'rubbishing' someone elses' theory, they are doing this based upon only what we know, considering the sheer scale of the surroundings we are aware we exist within, to think we know alot is evidence that we know very little.

Gravity studies of the solar system are quite good. It wasn't that long ago that a small asteroid occulted a star and the event was predicted down to the towns that could see it. That's phenomenal considering the complex movements of the Earth and the asteroid. So yes we can 'rubbish' the idea that there is an unknown planet in our solar system headed our way. Gravitational studies have been done for centuries from the time of Tycho Brahe and have led to Kepler's laws, the prediction of Neptune, and even the recent occultation. It's not a single person saying 'rubbish' to the Planet X/Nibiru claims, it is probably tens of thousands of astronomers over a long period of time that have made it clear no new planets can enter the orbits of the known planets.

Thankyou, I appreciate the explanation, however, have you personally exacerbated all 'known' possibilities for an object to arrive in our solar system in 2012, whether it be travelling at speed, teleporting or by some other means?

Yeah, and don't forget, it could be drawn by a brace of flying horses too. I hear they're rainbow powered. No telling how fast they can go. And maybe it's invisible. Oh wait, the guy took a video of it so it can't be invisible, well maybe it's just really sneaky then.

That's ok, through all reason out the window. Where did rationality ever get anyone anyway.

Teleportation is not a known means.

I read the thread. I'm not convinced it's Betelgeuse. Based on another post in this thread I did a Google for TYC 2949-433-1 and found this thread in German, clearly showing an orbiting moon or planet or something around the "star".

I'm no expert astronomer and haven't investigated, but since when does Betelgeuse have an orbiting satellite?

Phage, I have respect for your knowledge.

I do not appreciate your mockery though.

I am purely making an observation, one that seems to get a few people's knickers in a twist.

The 'deny ignorance' stance is all very well when taken in a certain context, but the growing fashion of posters on here that destroy open discussion just to be the first to prove a theory or article to be a 'hoax' in as little words as possible and usually based on the disproving of one detail alone, cannot be healthy for this community either.

Teleportation is theoretically possible through a cloning method, ergo it is 'known' in the capacity that it is theoretically possible.

Respect.
Intentional hoaxers upset people. Rightly so.
It is understandable that some may lose patience and civility.

However, I must agree.

Please don't keep your research a secret. Are you a discerning individual? Care to comment? Some claim it's Betelgeuse. I wonder about the orbiting satellite.

You didn't read the thread.
It isn't Betelgeuse.

The OP in the video is proven to be a hoax. Yes, I am frustrated because this thread, because of the topic being based on a proven hoax, belongs in the hoax bin. Actually, because it is a duplicate thread to that thread, it should be closed altogether.

There is no "known" way that matter can be cloned or transferred from one location to another (without traveling the distance). If you are thinking about quantum entanglement, you are wrong on both counts.

It should be moved to the hoax bin and closed? You're not serious! How does it concern you if others choose to keep discussing this? How can one honestly get "frustrated with a thread" and demand it be closed, which is completely against the spirit of ATS. Don't click on it if you don't like it.

I've waded through most of the "other thread where this was proven to be a hoax" and still have more questions.

You've got to continue to encourage everyone to consider both sides, patiently presenting all the information you have. Make it easy for yourself and everyone by just posting the best of the best that convinced you of your stated opinion. THAT is the answer. NOT closing the thread.

You claim to have done research, first saying it was Betelgeuse now Mars. Now I ask you, how did this guy with 5x zoom spot a tiny 14 mile asteroid-like moon around Mars?

If you haven't noticed, it is ATS policy to close duplicate threads. This is a duplicate thread. This is why I am frustrated. Your answer is in that thread. There is no reason for old ground to be covered repeatedly.

Again, I read the thread. I think you need to relax a little. If you want to police the boards maybe you should become a moderator. Is there anything in particular you are trying to raise attention to rather than suppress?

The video in the OP is a hoax. Therefore any thread presenting that video should also be considered a hoax.

There is no suppression. There is no reason that discussion should not continue in the original thread. There is no need for another, duplicate thread.

Stereologist.....

I know you’ve heard it from me before, but I feel compelled to say it again:

I take my hat off to you for the way you keep battling through the Nibiru BS.

Kind regards

Hopi prophecy The red star kachina is next and it is also known as the red purifier. BS is calling it far-fetched. I love it how people say they know everything about space, but yet in my belief it is like saying they know what GOD knows. that is what I laugh about.

Humans don't know everything about space. They just think they do.

Can you point out a single scientist or other rational person who claims to know everything?

I know less than a lot of people. But just because I don't know everything, doesn't mean I don't know anything. I do know the video in the OP is a hoax.
