Chicken Costumes Banned at Nevada Polling Places

RENO, Nev. -- Voters dressed in chicken costumes won't be allowed inside Nevada polling places this year. State election officials on Friday added chicken suits to the list of banned items after weeks of ridicule directed at Republican Senate candidate Sue Lowden

The millionaire casino executive and former beauty queen recently suggested that people barter with doctors for medical care, like when "our grandparents would bring a chicken to the doctor

I don't know what's funnier; people wearing chicken costumes to polling places or the government feeling threatened enough by this to ban it.

Sounds like a great way to make voting fun.

Dress up and vote.

Early voting just opened this weekend in Nevada, most of the early voting places are in grocery stores, I can see some comedy coming out of this foolishness.

My problem is who to vote for, thay are all bat crap crazy out here.

What about a duck? I can see them trying to argue semantics with someone dressed as a duck. Not sure if it's as funny to anyone else, but the mental play through i'm seeing here is hilarious.

Democrats responded by setting up a website, "Chickens for Checkups," and by sending volunteers in chicken suits to her campaign events.

This is the best the Dems could come up with after what Reid and his cohorts in the Dem party have done to the country since Obama took office?

Pathetic.

I'm sure Democrats really care what some dude who has an avatar of a capitalist with a Marxist slogan surrounding him thinks. Get real. "waaah you mean old democrats are making fun of an idiot for saying something stupid, real clever!"

It shows the lunacy in politics for certain. Should I really have to point out that she would be running against incumbent Harry Reid? Which would make the barred chicken suit wearers to be supposed supporters of Harry Reid.

I think that careful thought should be used when making a political statement on just how it looks for your candidate.

Chickens for checkups sounds like a great idea to me. It is about time somebody came up with a real idea to bring down the cost of health care instead of just throwing government dollars at greedy doctors.

Well isn't this special.

Sorry to tell the ignorant out there, barter is trading different commodities or services for another.

I could not afford dentistry I needed recently. I know a dentist and gave him a call. Asked him if he had any construction or repairs he needed at home or business that I could trade him for the work I needed.

Well well wouldn't you know that he had been planning on putting up a small addition.

Barter agreed upon and deal was struck. All without insurance, government or even a currency.

Take that chicken to the chopping block and cut it's head off.
