Interesting theory definitely, and apart from splitting hairs generally speaking most UFO enthusiasts would concur that the possibility of E.T. interference throughout human history has occurred...
however this has been exhaustively discussed on several other very good threads like the one I post above, perhaps there is some information that would interest you on some of these...?

AWESOME FIND WAG!!! Are we allowed to post some of that material here on this thread? the first 2 paragraphs are exactly the info that I have been trying to relay.

1347 Europe: Black Plague, 1347-50: Reports from this period feature strange cigarlike objects flying low through the sky and dispersing noxious mists. Soon after these objects passed by, plague would break out in that area. Other features from this period similar to modern UFO reports include sightings of mysterious MIB-like scythe-wielding "reapers" clad in black hoods & robes, and mysteriously slaughtered cattle and other animals. One year before an outbreak of plague, a "column of fire" was seen over the Pope's palace at Avignon. A monstrous "whale" was cast ashore at Egemont shortly before another plague outbreak, and numerous times during this period "rumblings like thunder" were heard even when there were no storms. Blazing "comets" were seen numerous times in the heavens - some of which may have been real celestial objects frightening an omen-crazy populace - of which numerous were said to be accompanied by "flames" (aurorae?) hanging low in the sky.

even if it had something to do with rats, yeah, it may be related to UFOs ...

but thats just a theory, but I agree its cool to think about it, simply because most of our history is totality loss, since people are dumb and dont know how to interpret ancient texts without trying to relate to our lives ... theirs were totality different

they talk about in ancient aliens about some kind of MIST that everybody could see before the plague appeared ... so, who knows ...

They weren't saying that at all. It's been misinterpreted. Remember, this was a time of high superstition. They didn't even mention 'cigar-shaped' as they didn't know what cigars were then.

what were we talking about? OH, yeah.....plague spread through UFO's. Sounds plausible to me. So much for all the benevolent extraterrestrials threads...

The whole documentary was just quick-fire mishmash of about 15 theories, bareley giving you time to digest anything before scooting onto the next.

Interestingly enough, there were several "UFO-like" encounters recorded in Asia in the thirteenth century as well. I did some googling and found the following:

1271: A UFO was seen at at Tatsunokuchi, Kamakura, Japan. Nichiren (1222 - '82), a Buddhist monk and founder (see April 28, 1253) of Nichiren Buddhism, was about to be executed by beheading at Tatsunokuchi when there appeared in the sky an object like a full moon. The officials panicked and abandoned the execution and the famous monk survived another eleven years.
