Last week I posted a video commercial from the CFR that promotes all of the “wonderful” things it does. Now, the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International [color=gold](Dis-)Information Programs website has a whole page called, “Conspiracy Theories and Misinformation.” No, gang, there’s nothing on the page about [color=gold]Weapons of Mass Deception Destruction, [color=gold]the Warren Commission Whitewash Report, or [color=gold]how the “Federal” Reserve causes—not prevents—inflation. The site is referring to “[color=gold]misinformation” that many conspiracy researchers have been dispensing in books, radio and TV shows, blog sites, etc. for the past decades.

By the way, according to this website, I guess Murray Rothbard must have been a “[color=gold]Marxist”:
“Economic conspiracy theories are often based on the false, but popular, idea that powerful individuals are motivated overwhelmingly by their desire for wealth, rather than the wide variety of human motivations we all experience. (This one-dimensional, cartoonish view of human nature is at the heart of Marxist ideology, which once held hundreds of millions under its sway.)”

www.lewrockwell.com...

Here is the website from our government, yes people it is full of misinformation.
Please read this, and have a good laugh on me!

www.america.gov...

Our governments are hoping that most Americans have been dumb down by Fox News, MSN, CNN, Glen Beck, Bill O’Reily, and the likes. With enemy like this, who needs terrorist? As you can see, the Truth is the last thing our government wants us to have.

The problem here is, this website offers nothing, but only what government authority wants you to believe in. The government wants to tell you not to use your logic just believe in us, TRUST us.

Too bad for our government who thinks they have duped us, science tells us a different story and it is not the OS.
For the government to come out and say there is [color=gold]no conspiracies, in my opinion this shows that parts of our government are really [color=gold]desperate, and [color=gold]stupid.

Thanks for the link...I had a great laugh!

People put more thought into posts on ATS, a private internet forum, than those people did drumming up all of us as being "dis-information specialists." Good job Feds...you just convinced more people that you have something to hide.

Peace be with you.

Thanks for posting. S & F for the "find". I really enjoyed reading this one:
==============================================

"Outer Space
Outer space is the realm of the unimaginable. An encounter with intelligent alien life would be the most extraordinary moment in human history, which is precisely why it would be absolutely impossible to keep such an encounter secret if it were to occur."

"As space travel began to become a real possibility in the 20th century, aliens in “flying saucers“ became a focus of fears and anxiety, replacing earthbound spirits. We project onto imaginary aliens some of our deepest fears — that we could be victimized, enslaved or exterminated by a technologically superior civilization. Typically conceived as highly intelligent, imaginary aliens represent the ultimate unknowable, feared “other.” "

Nice try guys, but no cigar.....

Well, I'm afraid to say that the American people are so dumb down that they can't even tell a real plane from a fake one. I don't know what the answer is impressme but I don't see any fix to the problem any time soon in the near future.....I've come to the conclusion that most people really are stupid.

wow this is hilarious
. show's how desperate they are getting. why would they bother putting this up if the official stories were true? only two things keep telling you their story is legit over an over, drug addicts and liars, an our government is both. they shouldn't need to vouch for themselves if the facts held up. but of course we all know we they don't. this actually gives me a sigh of relief because it lets me know we're winning
. thanx for the post

You know, I try and share what I've learned on ATS in general conversation with people at work. I tread softly as I know these people are the people that you mentioned in the OP. Regardless, when I try to make them aware of what is really going on (most recently the Gulf Oil Leak, Halliburton etc) I am met with that "look".

I am happy that I am as informed as I am. I have ATS to thank for a great deal of that awareness. It is so cut & dry as far as I am concerned. To the majority, not so much, as they are overcome by the "Trust us" mentality.

Good job OP...Thank you for your post S&F

One day, maybe the masses will awaken to the real of the whole deal.

What a load of tripe! I immediately noticed this little disceprancy from their site;

Biological weapons evoke the nightmare fear of uncontrolled, deadly mass epidemics. The United States eliminated all of its biological weapons in the early 1970s.

Really! Then where did that Anthrax come from in the weeks after 9/11? It was proved that the particular strain came from fort Detrick, MD.

Yep, they really are desperate. We now have an official government propaganda channel.

Great find. S & F

even if it was all on the up and up with them, and everything they said was true....
well, they would still have a very big problem that one little website ain't gonna fix...
more and more people aren't believing what they are saying and well, they are believing some of these conspiracies.....
so, well, you'd think that if they really wanted to do something....
they would stop acting so crazy and quite doing the crazy stuff that makes us all point it out and say, see, this is what we mean, why else would they do this unless what we are saying is real!!
we don't need a few pages on a government website...
we need sane honest people working for us!!

I agree with you, the problem we are having though is no one in our government are working of us, it’s only their special interests that they care about. When these people leave office, they leave very rich.

I think it is a shame that our government chooses to be corrupt; if congress were not corrupt, then they would not need a disinformation website.

These people in our government are hoping that most Americans are stupid, ignorant to the facts, and the few who know the truth, they can let our media deal with them by ridiculing and insulting the truth and all those who questions the government authority.
This is a fact, we see this all the time on the News.

Now, the internet on the gov.org is running their own propaganda website to continue to embellish more of their lies. It is up to us to continue to wake people up, to spread the truth.

That site was the funniest thing I've seen all day.

Especially the part about ALL evidence pointing to the fact that Oswald killed Kennedy and no one else was involved.

Awesome find!

I hate to tell you impressme but Americans are probably the most stupid people on the globe next to the Brits. Here's a great example:

Sorry to say this, I had hope for many years that people would start to wake up and start using their own brains...I am to the point that I really don't think it will happen and quite frankly, I don't care anymore.

This is very interesting if you consider what the existence of this website means...

Someone must be really deperate to have an effect. I wonder who that is.... I guess we will know soon enough!

I watched the video and I thought it was funny. Well as you, all can see the media has done a fine job in dumbing down their country. This is what they are paid to do.
