Five people have been arrested in Pakistan on suspicion of involvement in the foiled car bomb attack on New York’s Times Square on May 1st. Reports by BBC say those arrested include the owner of a company that supplies the American Embassy in Islamabad with food products. The arrests followed a visit to Pakistan by two high-ranking US security officials. The main suspect, an American national of Pakistani descent Faisal Shakhzad, was detained in the US two days after the incident. The police managed to prevent an explosion in New York’s most crowded area after a vigilant passer-by contacted the police station to report smoke coming from a parked car.

Great work for the intel folks. Now we have to make sure justice is followed. Most likely only jail time since no one was killed in the attack attempt.

It still should serve notice to other of terrorist mindset that you will be caught-and pay the price for messing with the US. Over there-don't bring any back over here so the Obama Justice Department can make them heros somehow and our guys the bad guys.

I heard a little bit ago on the radio there are more people in the US and PAK that are being sought in connection with the failed bombing attempt.

How many people more? And, that one didn't work. I hope the intel guys are analizing the hell out of this and making arrest related to other things that occurred (or were in the planning).

We must get every bit of info possible to work towards stopping others.
