If aliens exist (which I believe they do) then why would they want to visit us? And what would the impacts be? If one is to assume that aliens have the ability & technology to travel across the galaxy's and anywhere in space then one must also assume they have longevity in life. After all, the many wall paintings, carvings and other hieroglyphics & ancient documentation discovered in ancient history exploration cites that they have been around for thousands of years. Even if those who have mainstream goals & agendas say not. So this isn't out of the realm of possibility to assume such longevity. If they came they would surely then be able to tell us that Jesus either did what we have all been disposed to believe he did or, that he simply did not. If Jesus didn't then religion and those who follow it in their daily lives would be impacted greatly and deeply. Could they tell us about our real history of civilization and how we came into being? Or would they tell us that we are really descendants of a long lost alien race that was started on earth by those we have never known and yet to have discovered? That admission alone would rock the world of many our world sees as scholars and educators in our society today. I have always wondered how anyone could believe we crawled from the sea then turned into an ape like being and many just assume thats how it was. Or, that we were created by a higher power from a bone of another like us. I believe there is a higher power but one that many are not ready to hear about at all. In fact many would rather not consider that the human race may not have originated on earth at all.

I have also wondered why an alien would want to visit us because all we do is blow each other up, start wars to satisfy elite agendas and in general stay in conflict with each other. If aliens exists at all then they are surely not going to want to come land on a planet full of beings whose apparent life's goal as seen from afar, is to be at war all of the time with one another. When I think of aliens I think of peaceful beings who have mastered many aspects of their life's that we humans only dream or talk about but seldom do. They may look "weird" to us but to each of them, so do we look strange to them. Sure there may be evil aliens just as there are evil humans in that sense but to me, its just part of every race that some are evil while most are not. Aliens I think represent to many a threat that is really basic in human nature. That is many would be jealous of the power and technology they have and many citizens may abandoned their governments and pledge allegiance to their new alien friends. This is probably why if the government knows that aliens do exist which I think they surely do, then our government may not want them to land or make widespread contact with the human race. I really think the widespread panic and disassociation of people the world over would be catastrophic for many to comprehend and governments to control. Regardless of what many who say they want contact say, I believe that many say so with a healthy reserve of cautiousness hidden behind their bravado.

Many will say that if aliens visited then nothing would change because people gotta eat, work and yada yada. But if aliens did one day land in the middle of Central Park or a cornfield in Illinois the human race would be affected unlike any other event up to that point. People would stop working and eating until they felt secure enough or assured by gov reps that "everything is fine" or, not. Regardless of what the many who wish for aliens to land say, there could be many dangers or at least perceived dangers that would toss mankind into chaos even if for a temporary time. Anytime you have one species interacting with another there is a chance for infection. But infection of what? Aliens may have visited here but not with a mass of humans and there may be the chance that aliens + humans could infect one another or, that some humans are allergic to aliens or vice versa. There may also be the chance that an alien may react differently or unwanted to certain human actions or emotions. I think its a bit ignorant to just say or think that aliens are so advanced that they would have thought of all of the pre-cautions to deal with what I have stated here. The prime reason being interaction on a mass scale has never taken place so the chance of things going wrong are and will be a concern. Then you'll have the share of lunatics who'll try and assassinate the aliens out of fear or an unchecked and unwarranted belief in some conspiracy related theory. That would surely create a situation of some serious nature for sure.

The reasons why they wouldn't want to visit outweigh the reasons they may want to in my opinion. I wouldn't want to go on a shuttle to Mars if I knew full well that all they do there is go to war at the drop of a hat or shoot each other for no good reason. I'd actually prefer to just fly by or hover above their city and look down at them and wonder.

You get a 50/50 chance.

We either get 'hostile' aliens.

or neutral aliens.

notice i did not put 'good' in there? thats because thats a oxymoron. there is no 'good' aliens. do the cows and pigs look at us as 'good' because we feed them and take care of them? The aliens wont be coming here out of the good of there own heart...get that out of your head. They will have there own agenda and reasons for making contact. and none of them will be 'benevolent'. The world does not work that way.

get out of fantasy land.

Animals "view" those who tend to them as leaders because we are animals ourselves and know how to assert our leadership traits using animal body language etc. If they see us as good or bad depends on the actions we place towards them when tending to them, if we abuse them then they fear us as bad. On the other hand if we treat them with respect and have a bucket full of food when we visit them, then we are "good" in their view.

You assume aliens would have an agenda, why is that? Its because of your own opinion or viewpoint on the topic, nothing more. It only amounts to your opinion and not a fact. We cannot really know until an alien does actually land. Benevolent or the inclination to do good again, will depend on if they are visiting earth to help or for some other nefarious reason(s). Again that only your speculation based in opinion rather than fact. In short, your entire post is an opinion disguised to come across as no more than a duded up smart-assed reply. In other words...Worthless

I hope your asleep if they decide to visit and they are good intentioned. Then again, if they are not I hope they land on your front yard

Excuse me? animals look at us as 'leaders' lol are you serious? Thats why we lock them up and kill them for food. I seriously hope your joking on saying that 'they look at us like leaders' thats just...kind..retarded.

They wont come here for our 'own good'. they will have there own reasons. The universe is a hostile place. Its been this way since the big bang farted us all out.

why would they 'help us'. what benifit is it to them? we are just hairless apes. unless they created us or something like that or we are some huge experiment.

im telling you that they will have there own goals and ends to meet. its just nature in action. if we have something they want...they will come and get it either through hostility or politics.

if there goals somehow benifit us...oh well good for us.

like i said before.

50/50

hostile or neutral.

no such thing as a good alien.

they either wont care about us(unless we have something they want)....or be hostile.

i just dont think 'benevolent' aliens exist. because nothing is benevolent.

they will have an agenda. either it will be to make 'allies'(that does not mae them good...we are allies with china but many of us hate each other...and china is constantly trying to outwit the usa) or....do something hostile.

or i could be wrong and they will come down on there hippie colored UFO and we will all get together and sing kumbaya.

They're simply waiting in the background for us to finally self-destruct so they can then move in and colonize.

They send a scout now and then to see how bad we're doing, and we spot them occasionally, but they're patient and know they need not interfere: we're right on track to annihilate ourselves with no help from them.

The main thing that they are concerned about is that on our way to destroying ourselves, we are also raping, pillaging, and poisoning this beautiful planet and it's fantastic diversity of flora and fauna species as well.

Sobering comfort nonetheless for our future benefactors is that the Earth is strong and resilient, and will quickly heal itself once the selfish, narcissistic humans are gone.

The primary attractant, however, is NOT the myriad natural resources, minerals, and living biomes of our world, but the incredible quantity and quality of water.

Water, something we humans take for granted, is ubiquitous in the universe, found in most solar systems to some extent, but is exceedingly rare in such quantities as found on Earth. This is what makes Earth so attractive to our waiting protagonists.

In fact, the real dilemma will be to see which alien species will be able to hold and control the Earth so it is not merely consumed for export and
intergalactic profit but instead maintained in its magnificent, oceanic state.

My supposition is that the Earth is an almost impossibly rare and valuable jewel in the cosmos, recently discovered (in astronomic terms perhaps a few thousand years ago), and now monitored and carefully observed by a consortium of EBE's whose purpose is to protect it both from humans and from rapidly converging intergalactic interests.

This is why we see the 'scouts' near nuclear powerplants, missile sites, environmental disasters and such. They are sworn to not intervene and maintain an absolute minimal contact with earthlings. Thus, they have no problem watching humans kill each other off at an accelerating pace, they may step in to halt excessive or irreparable damage to the Earth herself.

Why are they here? They're simply waiting for us to leave so they can take over. Why are we seeing more and more evidence of their presence and hearing more and more about "disclosures', etc. Isn't it obvious? They know that our demise is now inevitable and irreversible. And even more significant: it is imminent.

We should stop thinking of aliens in terms of 'good' or 'bad'. There are good ones and bad ones (as such things are determined along human notions).

Instead, they are simply citizens of the cosmos that have survived their own fragile infantile beginnings and have evolved to explore the galaxy and perhaps beyond.

Like the proverbial warring ants-on-a-hill however, humans on the other hand do not seemed destined for such a privilege. We simply can't get past our narrow-minded suicidal tendencies and are now reaching our tipping point.

They know it is just a matter of time. And not much more time at that. It took us only a few thousand years to become "technologically advanced". It took us only a couple of hundred years to burn through our resources and each other.

There is still a chance, however slight, that we will "wake up" and turn altruistic and self-preservative as a sentient species. The aliens are betting against it.

And 'the big decision' is only a few decades away at most...
