X-151 Project Torridor

Topic started on 8-6-2004 @ 09:17 AM by bios

Does anyone know anything about this project?
I had a friend refer to it in conversation and so out of curiousity I Googled it but only came up with 2 web sites, and all they had was an attempt to get information through the Freedom of Information Act.
My friend referred to it while discussing advanced propulsion and innovative airframe technology but never went into any further details.

My friend could be in a position to know more and is not known to be a bullsh*ter. When asked about it again she was very coy and just suggested I look it up on the internet.
:::heavy sigh:::

The highest assigned X-designation is X-50 Beoing Dragonfly Canard Rotor/Wing (CRW)

This is some way short of X-151, especially at the rate X designations are usually assigned

US aircraft - check right side for X craft

Top Secrer Aircraft Projects in the past have not had X designation and have codenames instead.

eg HAVE BLUE which became F-117 etc

Anyway try doing a google search to see if you get anything of interest

Maybe your friend wanted to sound like she knew a bit about secret projects.
