That was fun to listen to...she set up Weiner really well. A little too well, actually.

That was a parody passed off as a "real call" to set him up to whack someone down. She sounded way too intelligent and well spoken to be making comments that only a truly ignorant person would espouse. And she's listening to a political radio commentator?

"Obama pays for welfare out of his own pocket from money that the illegals pay him." Fine comedy and the attention Weiner wanted, obviously. And some people actually believed it which makes it even funnier.

I have a few points to make, first, the caller is ignorant of the workings of our government. Secondly, the host was rude.

Thirdly, and most importantly, the Arizona law does violate the 4th amendment to the Constitution which prohibits illegal searches.

And fourth, If we really cared about illegal immigration we would have mandatory jail sentences for the highest officer of any company that knowingly hires illegal immigrants.

That would put a stop to this problem immediately, but instead, it is the common man who is persecuted for the crimes of the elite.

This is a good example of why I think we should start administering tests to see if people even remotely grasp the concept of government. Just breathing and being a citizen is no longer enough to qualify you, in my opinion. If you don't understand why you are voting, and what the basic functions of government are (according to the constitution), then you don't get to vote. Period. This is why the libs have taken civics classes out of public education. Ignorant people are much easier to manipulate.

I am not sure I understand the thinking. Borders have more then one side. Do you really think Mexico or Canada would welcome the "no borders" room for Americans to spread out and gain mineral wealth. You can't own land in Mexico if you are American unless you have a Mexican to buy it for you. People from everywhere can buy American property. We are already more open then most. Do you know how hard it is to immagrate to many other countries? they require an education standard and guarentee you are employed by a certain date..no welfare you just get thrown back out if you can't get a job.

My favorite part was where she said "you don't pay my welfare check, Obama does"

Firstly, No argument here.

Secondly, Savage is rude to everyone, even callers he agrees with. He also cuts everyone off in mid-sentence which is highly annoying. I can hardly listen to his show even though I agree with him most of the time.

Thirdly, If you read the bill, which you clearly have not, it states in the section B (on the first page) that officers need reasonable suspicion that someone is illegal before they can ask for proof of citizenship, which is no more illegal than having reasonable suspicion that someone has been drinking and driving and asking for ID. Is asking an obviously hispanic person for ID for no other reason that their apprearance suggests that they might be profiling or racist? Perhaps there is some gray area here where cops are going to push the envelope of the law, but they do that already. If they can cover their butts, they are going to do it. Would asking a non-English speaking hispanic person (or ANY non-English speaking person) for ID profiling or racist? Well, how does someone who was born in the United States and grow up in an American town manage to not learn English? How is that profiling? How is that racist? It isn't. It's common freaking sense.

Asking for ID/proof of citizenship is not illegal search and siezure. You have to do that before someone will hire you and you're not even being arrested or suspected of a crime.

Fourth, no argument here, either. The only slack I might give an employer is if they have very few illegals employed, ad those illegals supplied fraudulent paperwork to get the job. What are they supposed to do, do a thorough background investigation into every potential employee? That was supposed to have already been done if someone has a driver's license and social security card. I think the state and federal governments need to start getting serious about how they issue IDs so that fraud can be mitigated. Now, if an employer has 300 illegals there, then they clearly know what is going on and they should certainly be punished for it.

I'd also like to add an observation here. Let me know if you agree. Is it not ironic how liberals are jumping up and down about this law, screaming about "racism against hispanics"? Why would they think that there would be racism or profiling against hispanics in particular? Because they KNOW the root of the problem. All the accusations and rhetoric coming from them to me is simply a HUGE acknowledgment of the problem and who is responsible. Having said that, why would they not want a solution to the problem? Simple. Because they condone illegal immigration. They want it. More voters for them. Does this mindset not lead to amnesty next? Think about it. Their complaints speak volumes about their way of thinking and I am really disturbed by it.

Texas is 268,601 square miles....
That's 7,488,166,118,400 square feet.....so about 1,000 square feet per person (world population is sitting at 7 billion)

Or 27,878 people per square mile. New York State has 401.9 per square mile. New York City has 26,403. So if all of Texas looked like New York City, we could squeeze 'em in. But you won't have any privacy, other than your 300 square foot apartment.

You know, I have never harmed anyone in another country, nor has anyone in my family. None of my friends, and, in fact, no one that I've ever known personally--then again, I'm not rich and famous. Nevertheless, you seem to be painting with a pretty broad brush.

Governments of ALL countries have done, are doing, and will always do things to either help build up or to tear down other countries. It happens; it's called the human condition. Yes, it'd be nice if all the countries could just stay out of each others' business and keep to themselves, but life doesn't work that way--we're all intertwined.

As for me, I like being part of a country that has a strong military presence, as opposed to being a victim. Also keep in mind pretty much the whole point of forming our central government to begin with was to secure our borders. It'd be nice if they'd start doing it.

Let's take Iran for example: is this a country you'd consider to be morally superior to the U.S. A.? We have three American citizens that were simply hiking in the mountains in Iran close to the border. They're now in prison, and we're waiting to see what happens to them. Iran is securing their border, obviously, and, yes, they have the right to do so. Those hikers had no business being where they were without permission. How is it Iran can catch 3 hikers in the mountains, and in the U.S.A. we have thousands of people crossing the border daily?

I think anyone that has a problem with our country securing our own borders should take a long vacation, then try sneaking into China, Russia, N. Korea, any Middle Eastern country, or even Mexico or Canada. Document your experiences in each country in a notebook, if you're still alive, then get back to us and post your findings here on ATS for the betterment of our education.

The united states could never ever have no borders .

If they get over 400 million, there could never be people having over 3 kids each . The populational averages would go to 3 Billion people in 95 years . That is from everyone coming to America and the boom of life .

And if that took place there would be 90% of people out of work . This country is Not CHINA , we do not have the Population Fund that would take the debt off of the population growth of this magnitude .

If the borders go , the united states will also be like a 3rd world nation . If u think it would not , show me with math how it could survive with the economy. And do not teach me about how good the economy is going to be in 90 years. Your averaging that on if we even have the sort of economy with have today.
