No, the glass or cup is in between the beer cans. And the more I look at it, the more I think it could be Aladdin. If it is Aladdin, then the photo was taken no later than 1992, when the film came out.

Yuefo.....

I Googled & I looked through e-Bay.

Here's the only Aladdin movie glass I could find (front & back view):

Here's one--what do you think?

I don't think that's an Aladin cup. I messed around with it and here's what I came up with. You can see these letters.

STA ? ERP Anyone else?

Also, whoever is doing research on the beer can, I noticed the OP is from NZ. It might be possible that different countries have slightly different can designs.

Yuefo.....

I stuck to "glasses" because the item on the table looks like a glass.

Using the graphic on your "coffee cup / thermos" for comparison with the glass, there still seems to be loose resemblance, but I don't think it's a certain match.

Virraszto.....

Sorry.....I can't make out those letters on the glass.

Is it possible for you point the letters out in some way?

Virraszto.....

OK.....thanks.

Unfortunately, I still can't make out the letters, but I suspect your original image is better & you're losing detail when you post the image in the thread.

I have no idea what the letters might be part of.....I'll have to think about that.

Well I think we're overworking the data here, but as long as we're at it, did you notice the lettering further down? (circled) Maybe SOM?

Oh yes!

And if you look just below the "genie's" waist, there's even more lettering. Ha! for all the good it does us.

Me too. I never did think much of the saucer. The first thing I thought of was a street light. It's kind of a funky shot with or without the UFO.

First of all sorry for my bad English
I would like to give my opinion to this picture, and the things that bothers me.
the two people in the picture doesn't seems to notice the UFO at all, even as it seems to be a very bright day, and she is looking in the generally right direction,
so she should be able to see that big thing, hanging there in the sky, but that's just my opinion and I could be wrong.

Oh my I missed that one didn't I

thank you for the info

Peterfromdk.....

Unfortunately you've analysed the picture wherein Zaiger has inserted a UFO from the UFO iPhone app.

We were having a bit of fun.....

In my opinion, I think we're looking at an attempt at Photoshopping of the original image.

In the image below, I've enlarged and inverted the relevant section of the original image and it's immediately clear that the background of the "artifact" is completely inconsistent with the background of the remainder of the sky that the image is located in.
Additionally, you can immediately see that the background of the artifact (and the smaller associated artifacts) is clearly square/rectangular as if a cut/paste operation has been performed. There is an obvious border effect around the main (and smaller) artifact that is inconsistent with it being a part of the original background sky texture and clearly seperates the artifact background from the remainder sky background.

Good try ... but not good enough !

sorry , wrong , thats probably just compression from being turned into a jpeg, hence the need for the original,

sry , I read that just after I had posted , It really amazes me that this comes up every time someone posts a jpeg or any compressed image.Starred your explanation.

imo posting compressed images is just pointless titillation. Virtually Nothing can be analysed in them other than general look and feel.

May I ask what photo paper the photo is printed on and any image of the printers paper marks on the rear of the picture?

Gambon.....

No worries

I don't know about the paper.

If you've read further, you might also notice we're going to try to get the negative analysed.

I think it's a cool UFO pic. Reminds me of the Area 51 Sports Model. Star and flag from me. Could be a frisbee, could be someone threw a hubcap, could be a genuine UFO. I'll pick option 3 till someone proves otherwise.

None of it matters really. UFOs are spotted in their thousands all over the world and do show up in photos.
