Fishermen Report Illness From BP Chemicals

www.wdsu.com

More and more stories about sick fishermen are beginning to surface after the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

The fishermen are working out in the Gulf -- many of them all day, every day -- to clean up the spill. They said they blame their ailments on the chemicals that BP is using.

One fisherman said he felt like he was going to die over the weekend.

"I've been coughing up stuff," Gary Burris said. "Your lungs fill up."

This reminds me of all those rescuers during September 11 who developed lung problems in the years afterwards.

I wonder how bad this one could get. If a hurricane hits the water and that stuff ends up even further inland, there is no telling how many people are going to get sick out of this.

BP is so vile. I was reading about this today. Wait here.

In Gulf Spill, BP Using Dispersants Banned in U.K.

As we’ve reported, Corexit was also used after the Exxon Valdez disaster [8] and was later linked with human health problems including respiratory, nervous system, liver, kidney and blood disorders.

We want it cleaned up but wake up BP!

I read about this a few days ago and the article said that BP basically took zero precaution when it came to the well-being of the people who were cleaning up their mess.

It also said the chemicals they are using are far more toxic than the oil itself so that could have something to do with it also.

BP seems to be above the law when it comes to this disaster.
