When CBS tried to film a beach with heavy oil on the shore in South Pass, Louisiana, a boat of BP contractors, and two Coast Guard officers, told them to turn around, or be arrested.
"This is BP's rules, it's not ours," someone aboard the boat said. Coast Guard officials told CBS that they're looking into it.
As the Coast Guard is a branch of the Armed Forces, it brings into question how closely the government and BP are working together to keep details of the disaster in the dark.
Furthermore, this may not be the sole incident of its kind. According to Mother Nature Network's Karl Burkhart, his contacts in Louisiana have given him unconfirmed reports of equipment being turned away or confiscated.

Contacts in Louisiana have given me numerous, unconfirmed
reports of cameras and cell phones being confiscated,
scientists with monitoring equipment being turned away, and
local reporters blocked from access to public lands impacted by the oil spill. But today CBS News got it on video, along with a bone-chilling statement by a Coast Guard official:
"These are BP's rules. These are not our rules."

What baffles me is why BP gets to make the rules. In any other situation, be it an individual or a company, whoever/whatever causes a royal disaster gets punished. In this case it's the reverse.
Not only are they not punished, but they are also protected!
Instead of the government laying down the law the government says "hey, guys, we're on your side! We will help you out!"
Jeez, Louise! How freakin' backwards could this situation be!? Don't worry BP, Uncle Sam thinks you are the bee's knees!

What if a terrorist group had come to this country and caused a spill of this magnitude? We would find someone to blame and possibly nuke them! But they are protected!!
Right now some grubby congressman or senator is walking around with a class action protection rider in his greasy hand. Just waiting to insert it into some other bill being passed at the last moment.

This isn't Obama's doing .... it's his bosses'. Corporate America now directs law enforcement and security, which was to be expected since they found out the people weren't simply "accepting" their 'good intentions' in the matter.

You want to sound troubled too, because i was thinking last night that theres a massive problem. And im not talking about damaged due to oil. Im talking about the massive earthquake which i think may have a possiblity due to the sea water replacing the oil in the reservoir which is leaking. Because if im talking sense then the oil that has leaked was replaced by sea water. What negative effects will happen if this is right? Earthquake? Land sinking into the ground?
I may be wrong, who knows? Anyone?
