Bush: God told me to invade Iraq President 'revealed reasons for war in private meeting'
The revelation comes after Mr Bush launched an impassioned attack yesterday in Washington on Islamic militants, likening their ideology to that of Communism, and accusing them of seeking to "enslave whole nations" and set up a radical Islamic empire "that spans from Spain to Indonesia". In the programmeElusive Peace: Israel and the Arabs, which starts on Monday, the former Palestinian foreign minister Nabil Shaath says Mr Bush told him and Mahmoud Abbas, former prime minister and now Palestinian President: "I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, 'George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan.' And I did, and then God would tell me, 'George go and end the tyranny in Iraq,' and I did." And "now again", Mr Bush is quoted as telling the two, "I feel God's words coming to me: 'Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East.' And by God, I'm gonna do it." Mr Abbas remembers how the US President told him he had a "moral and religious obligation" to act. The White House has refused to comment on what it terms a private conversation. But the BBC account is anything but implausible, given how throughout his presidency Mr Bush, a born-again Christian, has never hidden the importance of his faith.

What I want to know is how some of you deny that most of our dead, died for religion.

I want to discuss the mentality of the common Jesus loving christian. No offense, but millions of innocents are murdered every year in his name and for what?
How Jesus Endorsed Bush's Invasion of Iraq
In the lead up to the invasion of Iraq, Bush needed the approval of religious leaders to shore up his religious base and a group of Catholic theoconservatives were happy to help him do just that.
Playing the Jesus Card
Why is Netanyahu courting Christian fundamentalists?
So what's an Israeli leader to do? Netanyahu is resurrecting a tried and true strategy: Call on Christian fundamentalists -- who see maintaining Israel's occupation as paramount -- to galvanize popular pressure against Obama. But just like the last time he played this trick, the tactic is unlikely to work magic for Bibi anytime soon.
Who Would Jesus Bomb? The Religious Impulse, Public Opinion, and Foreign Policy Attitudes
The paper examines the role that the religious impulse plays in structuring public opinion on foreign policy attitudes. Over the past three decades scholars have examined the role and influence of religion in US domestic politics. Most recently, political commentators have turned their attention to the role that religion plays in US foreign policy – especially post 9/11 – with the belief that the religious impulse does not stop at “the water’s edge” and that the “culture wars” now pervades foreign policy. However, much of the literature on the topic lacks empirical analysis and the paper fill the lacuna by analyzing NES, Chicago Council on Foreign Relations, and Pew data. The paper argues that fears that the US will “go abroad in search of monsters to destroy” on the basis of religious zeal are unfounded. The theoretical contribution lies in the demonstration that in the foreign policy arena the “culture wars” are mediated by religious, political, and policy contexts.
Foreign Policy Is Not A Faith Based Program
The Jews/Israelis don’t care about the motivations of the Christian evangelicals. They don’t believe in the prophecies of Revelations in the New Testament. If a bunch of American Right-Wing Christian Conservatives want to keep sending them money and giving them a favored status, fine, let them. If conservative Christian administrations in America turn a blind eye to, or perhaps even encourage, expansionism in the area and the discrimination and oppression of Palestinians or Israeli Arabs, fine, bonus. They don’t care any more than I would if someone wanted to give me money and protect my interests because their interpretation of a religious myth, and the desires of an imaginary being, directed them to do so. Israel is doing the pragmatic thing and I would be surprised, perhaps even disappointed, to find they did not exploit it completely.

On second thought, I can't just single out one religion. You are very right.
Every Religion is a tool for social control.

Every Religion is a tool for social control.
Okay fair enough, and thanks for sharing that.
I want you guys to consider this aspect of it.
The problem is way too big to point fingers at one specific group.
There is however the zionist movement which believe they have been given right by GOD over the land of Israel.
So there is a conflict because there are other groups fighting for the same thing.
If you went to the US Grande Lodge website and poked around, especially paying attention to the works of the OTO and Aleister Crowley that have been modified into US Laws.
There are several societies that work hand in hand with churches called Mystery Babalon Religion and they are a secret society and from these groups one of their primary focus on bringing muslims and christians to war with each other.
Divide and conquer.
They figure if they could get christians and muslims to go to war with each other and I have found evidence of the OTO altering texts as well as openly discussing this.
But the document came from a very lenggthy transcript, so if you will be patient with me I will start digging.
