Truly sad.

Destroy this bill. It has done nothing but more harm than good. The Mexicans have been discriminated enough.

I'm highly saddened by ATS and it's strong support of racism. It seems as if you guys want lynching to return.

Too Harsh You Say?

THERE WILL BE NO SPECIAL BILINGUAL PROGRAMS IN THE SCHOOLS.

THERE WILL BE NO SPECIAL BALLOTS FOR ELECTIONS.

ALL GOVERNMENT BUSINESS WILL BE CONDUCTED IN OUR LANGUAGE.

FOREIGNERS WILL NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE NO MATTER HOW LONG THEY ARE HERE.

FOREIGNERS WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO HOLD POLITICAL OFFICE.

FOREIGNERS WILL NOT BE A BURDEN TO THE TAXPAYERS.

NO WELFARE, NO FOOD STAMPS, NO HEALTH CARE OR OTHER GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS.

FOREIGNERS CAN INVEST IN THIS COUNTRY BUT IT MUST BE AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO 40,000 TIMES THE DAILY MINIMUM WAGE.

IF FOREIGNERS DO COME AND WANT TO BUY LAND, THAT WILL BE OKAY. BUT OPTIONS WILL BE RESTRICTED………. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED WATERFRONT PROPERTY. THAT IS RESERVED FOR CITIZENS NATURALLY BORN INTO THIS COUNTRY.

FOREIGNERS MAY NOT PROTEST; NO DEMONSTRATIONS; NO WAVING A FOREIGN FLAG; NO POLITICAL ORGANIZING; NO BAD-MOUTHING OUR PRESIDENT OR HIS POLICIES. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL BE SENT HOME.

IF YOU DO COME TO THIS COUNTRY ILLEGALLY, YOU WILL BE HUNTED DOWN AND SENT STRAIGHT TO JAIL.

TOO HARSH YOU SAY?

The above laws happen to be the Immigration Laws of MEXICO!!!

'nuff said.

Alot of the things you pointed out are false and some are true of both the US and Mexican immigration laws.

As I've said before the laws are on the books but not being enforced and that is the problem.

I think Arizona should offer to repeal their offensive law and replace it with the Mexican immigration laws.

The we could really watch their critics squirm.

Really?!

Coming from one of the illegal supporters in California, that's pretty funny. Too frightened of 'La Raza' to stand for your own country. Either you're one of them, or a racist coward. There are plenty of true Americans in California who stand behind us here in AZ, I wish there was a way to just turn out the lights in YOUR houses. I doubt you're a soldier though, so your little war threat is particularly amusing...if you are, you're a traitor, and that's putting it nicely.

Obama is part of the problem, not the solution, this is what you get when you unthinkingly vote for 'Hope and Change' no hope and bvery little change except in the wrong direction.

Surprised Mexico's president just doesn't add another paragraph to Mexico's Illegal Immigration Pamphlet that suggests not to go to Arizona.

They're probably adding that paragraph to the pamphlet already.

Man, do I hope so.

This situation, with the blatant racism coming from the opposition to the law, and some of the outright claims by some that this land belongs to Mexico and they intend to take it back, is hard to wrap your mind around. Then you see the feds standing with them, and it gets really confusing. How can they really say some of the things they're saying? The blatant lies, and those blindly following along their party lines, no matter how obviously wrong they are. We saw it with Bush, now we see it with Obama.

Well maybe Calderone will be our next President.

Can you say El Presidente?

This man may be the next American president/dictator and the first president of the North American Union.

I think Obama has set the precident for a non-American citizen being elected to the presidency.

YES, and the Previous President actually gave out maps on the best location and time of year to cross and locations of water drops and of-course the Federals escorted many to the boarder.

Really? I've heard this quite a few times but no one has ever had any proof to the story. I highly doubt it.

(It's "border", btw)

Here's a question for everybody. Why should the president of another country give a rats rear end about our immigration polocies, but should rather ask himself," WHAT SUCKS ABOUT MY COUNTRY SO BAD THAT THE MAJORITY OF MY CITIZENS WANT TO LEAVE HERE BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY AND ARE WILLING TO RISK THEIR VERY LIVES TO LEAVE HERE?"

That's what needs to be asked and answered. If I left a country like Mexico or Cuba because life there was that bad, I'd be damned if I'd ever want to fly the flag of a rat hole that I risked my very life to escape.

check out what Janet Napolitano said in 2008

May 21, 2010 | 5:49 PM ET
This will knock your socks off! Look at the DATE and who signed it!

Here is an excerpt from a 2008 letter then Gov of Arizona Janet Napolitano (now Secretary of Homeland Security) to then Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff:

Date: March 11, 2008

"[r]eal solutions to fix our broken borders cannot wait that long. Human and drug smuggling rings continue to thrive in Arizona, crossing our border and using our cities as major hubs to transport crosser throughout the country. While we wait for real progress on the "virtual fence," border communities in Arizona will continue to be strained by the millions of dollars in costs they must absorb due to the state of border security."

....

Yours very truly,

Janet Napolitano

Governor

And apparently there are more letters.
