A couple of days ago we went on a family trip, my dad loves Roman history so we decided to go to a ruin of a Roman Villa, we never got there, and i thank god we didnt!
As the hours went by the decided we were lost, we were all really cheesed off, untill we went around a corner to discover the most stunning village i have ever seen in my entire life!

The little village of Bibury in Cirencester, behold and look at these stunning pics, it's like going back in time!

All photos expect the google earth ones are not mine

I wonder what it smells like round there. I know it sounds silly but I just want to know what it smells like.

The smell combined with the beauty really makes for a great experience.

The owner of the house on the third picture down should spend last time blowing the froth of pints of warm ale and get down to B&Q so as to get that gate repaired. Shoddy

Only joshing, a nice place. I used to pass through there a few years ago in the summer months and it is a very picturesque part of the country and favorite haunt for coach drivers and their snap-happy American and Japanese cargo.

I've travelled a bit and i am like yourself very much. I love the little villages and towns that the tourists dont visit or have only caught on to.

1. Monschau GERMANY

2. Valkenberg NETHERLANDS

www.google.com.au...

3.Villefranche-de-Conflent FRANCE

Imagine a small village surrounded by an intact roman wall / fortress

Here is the place i would of liked to live. A place called craggaunowen in county clare in ireland, but it depicts what humans used to live like hundreds of years gone by. I went there as a school kid while i lived for 1 year as a kid in 80's as a kid. Very nice place, and amazing how different it is to what we are used to, today of course.

I bet alot of people enjoyed living like that too. If you ever get a chance to goto ireland visit it its in clare in west and is same county as shannon airport.

craggaunowen, co clare, ireland

You notice in the descriptions at least they state that they are not sure how people lived really back then, but this place was made from what is believed to be a period of irish history. Nice place though and you could really get a sense of olden times from visiting there.

See that lake house, i would love to live there today, but of course mankind has changed. But i remember going there like i said as a kid.

Shame there is not more places like this so people can have a sense of how man lived before industrialism.
