EXODUS OF MEMBERS... leaving ATS.

I've noticed lately that there has been a bunch of members announcing their departure from ATS. One member in particular is WeBDeviL. I just finished talking to him on AIM. The way he spoke, it seems that he's lost all passion for ATS.

Here's an excerpt from the coversation:

At least he cared enough to ask about some of you. It seems like all passion of ATS is gone.

This is a disturbing trend. A lot of our good members have been jumping ship.

Good question maybe the answer lies in other commitments =no time for ATS.

I feel the same way as WebDevil in the second message. It used to be a good small group of ppl. Now its huge....WAY too many ppl. The first 8 or so recent posts is almost always a Introduction.

MA is still around.

There is some imitator of MaskedAvatar called "TheMaskedAvatar" who is hopefully facing execution soon.

Nobody can "leave" ATS except by being banished and finding an impenetrable fortress on return.

Those who cannot sort the wheat from the chaff need a machine gun ignore button, available for only $39.95, ammo included, from K-Mart.

Oh.

And thank you to InSan3lyTwizTd for considering that MA might be providing some enlightenment or enjoyable reading at ATS/BTS.

MA never knew InSan3lyTwizTd cared.

You can do some strange sexual sh|t in thunderdomes, possibly?

I noticed this phenomenon as well. It appears some people become intimidated as the board number of members grow.

I don't understand, I personnaly think it makes the whole experience a lot more interesting.

That's what I tried to get across to him, but it didn't work the way I wanted. I didn't want to seem like I was pushing him or anything.

I agree with your views, m0rbid. I think the fact that we get an influx of so many new members adds to the whole experience here at ATS.

It's because of all the new members that are coming in. They have no ideas of what has been posted before their joining. That's why there should be an overkill campaign to get the point across that people should use the ATS Boolean Search Wizard before posting a new topic in order to keep things from getting stale around here. All of this recycling of topics and threads will slowly but surely degrade the quality of ATS.

I'm sure none of us want that... RIGHT?
