Demise of the Dinosaurs In Congress

The American people are angry and frustrated at politicians who see
themselves as "untouchable" and "sure things" for re-election. Citizens
feel that lawmakers are not listening to the people and are taking them
for granted. Voters today believe that elected office should be an
opportunity and NOT a career. Americans today believe you should
serve and get out.

Some politicians have seen the handwriting on the wall and have
decided not to stand for re-election this fall. The rejection of
incumbents is not necessarily limited to one party over the other.
A question soon to be answered is how will the electorate treat
incumbent legislators who give up one position only to run for
another. Will they still be treated as "incumbents?"

Be very careful here folks.
These congressmen and women
are gonna try to pull the bait and
switch in the fall by not running
for the same seats they once held.

We have to be smarter than they are.
Write down their names, NOT their
states or districts. They may run for
office in another district and get re-elected.
They knew the populace is coming for them
and are trying to hang on by a thread.
Don't let them win !!!!

Out with ALL incumbents !!!!
and the ones who switch offices
AND parties.

REMEMBER THEIR NAMES !!!

I think the movie Machete will pose a minor race war come Sept. just in time to get the population riled up, and to forget about who voted for obamacare come Nov. This in its self will be a false flag operation because even though it's a midterm election TPTB have to pull off something so they don't lose majority control of congress.

With the economic crisis and obamacare the tea party movement is out for blood. I wouldn't be surprised to see some rookies put in congress because the tea party movement. Too bad everyone who voted for obamacare won't be replaced.

And how did that go for this country over the last 50 years? The most interesting thing about the talk behind the coming November elections is that there has been a switch from the idea of the 'two party system' to the idea of 'incumbents' being the problem. Its almost as if there was some secret compromise in particular from tea party protesters as an excuse to still vote Republican.

The truth is those who replace the incumbents will not make a difference to the attitude displayed from both the Republicans and Democrats. A new face replacing the Republicans will not change the fact that they pushed for the patriot act, that they pushed for the wars, that they are guided by the religious zealots. Can't say the Democrats are 'pure' over their intentions, but atleast the voters for them are not in denial on just who they support. I kept on hearing this 'independent' 'two party' 'same coin' rhetoric in particular from tea party protesters, from conservatives, and as I predicted, they are coming right back to the Republicans. Just like clockwork.

Bunning, from Kentucky , knows he is finished, He's old as hell. No energy left in his furnace. I liked what he did a few months ago. Naw, he had no real power, but he held up for a bit, Yeah, he held up for a few days an extention of unemployment benefits. I'm not saying I agreed with him. But he proved, a minority member of congress does have some power. So not all is lost, because one party has the control.

Now if we can get rid of the two party powers! Maybe.............maybe something can reallly work in this great experiment of a republic!

As long as the pimps are in the halls of congress looking for new meat is nothing we can do about it.

I totally agree with you but putting new faces in Washington will only be the 1st step. The Democratic majority along with the Obama administration have finally given the American people a reason to pay attention to politics again. Say what you will about left this or right that but people are starting to wake up and they don't like what they see.

I don't know how many people said the same thing about Bush and the Republicans back in 2000, but when it got to around 2008, all of a sudden they had amnesia.

the good part about putting new faces in is
they stay on their toes and don't know the
illegal loopholes their predecessors did.
They are not comfortable enough to abuse
the system. And sooner or later we'll get
somebody in there who gives a damn
about the people and the constitution.

Wrong!!!!! new candidates are already polluted from local politics buy outs, follow the money trail from the home state and you will see where the pork will go once in Capitol hill.

Is so sad that people still think that in this time and age of politics you will find an honest politicians.
