Obama administration helps ACORN defend socialism – in India!

While the Obama administration runs away from ACORN here in the United States it is quietly embracing ACORN overseas.

The Obama administration is using U.S. government resources to help the embattled radical advocacy organization spread the gospel of left-wing community organizing in India.

President Obama’s ambassador to India, Timothy J. Roemer, recently lent his name and the prestige of the U.S. government to ACORN India’s efforts to organize rag-pickers in Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay). Roemer is a former Democratic congressman who represented an Indiana district.

Acorn is now in India, employing the same "in your face" techniques they have in the States.

Although the claim is being made that Acorn and Acorn International have severed ties, there are sources that Rathke is working behind the scenes.

He is not supposed to have any ties, as he was fired in 2008 and ordered to have no further connections to the group. Yet, he appears to not have stepped down as the director of an affiliate that produces Acorn segments for 8 alternative radio stations. He also still remains the publisher of the Acorns periodical magazine.

ACCORN needs its dues from somewhere. With their Federal funding in the ruins now thanks to the efforts of some very patriotic individuals. Though the Rupees will not go as far as the Dollar, they have a lot more populace to collect the Rupees from. Also Indians are not your typical Laborer, They know money is hard to come by and will turn on ACCORN in a second if the needs of the workers are not met.

ACCORN can find India to be a promising spot also because the politicians over their have no limit on the bribes they take. Lately with the rush of technology, politicians are being caught accepting these bribes and things are starting to change.

This made the hairs on my head stand up, because if this is not a clear attempt at globalization by the US, then I don't know what is.

Of *course* Obama denies any real ties to them, because then he would have to answer as to why he has his hands in the economy of all these other countries.

Having conspiracy theiories about something is one thing, but having it literally being confirmed right in front of us.. wow.

Perhaps ACORN should change its name to KUDZU. What a vile weed this ACORN has proven to be.

Who ever said that Obama didn't have a progressive global agenda? I'm just waiting on the ACORN branch to open in Venezuela.

I would have laughed under other circumstances, but this was truly surprising to me. Enough so that I posted the article, because I think others should know about this, too.

I agree, I think this lays the case out there pretty succinctly. He can contnue to try to distance himself from this politically, but realistically he is knee deep or more.

The thing that gets me is that they are employing the exact same tactics they did here, and what is going to happen to the economy of these countries from our intrusion?

What gives us the right?

ACORN is going to do what it takes to keep ACORN alive.

If it means going overseas-so be it. They have seen positive results and are not going to change their game plan (only to hide it more).

Well, one can say they saw positive results in the campaign effort of the president, but it was also one of the leading causes of the housing bubble and their relation to Fannie May and Freddie Mack.

Acorn was knee deep in all of this, with Obama, before the election. He only attempted to distance himself after the scandal broke, and the stock market took a nosedive after his election.

While many are insistant on pointing to Bush being the cause, Bush several times attempted legislation to reign in FM/FM and Barney Frank, and was shot down by democrats. Obama, on the other hand, has bailed them out by how much now?

I still think there is a lot more to be discvoered, and it will be, in time. It's just going to be a long wait.

Why can't we export this socialist trash to China and N. Korea? Maybe Iran could use some community activists? I'd like to see them try to agitate the workers over there? Fight fire with fire I say.

If you have to destroy a country and create misery with your failed belief system and corrupt power grabbing, why not do so to America's sworn enemies?
