Gotcha.

I'm wondering, do most other countries give the accused person the right to face their accusers?
I mean I know the US does, but do other countries? I wonder how they would do that in Venezuela? Just point at a computer screen?

I never said Chavez was a great guy. He tried before to pass the amendment to end term limits, it failed before. Perhaps he rigged the election or perhaps the Venezuelan people actually voted to end term limits.

Chavez in many ways has been made by the U.S.

He wants to ensure that his Bolivarian Revolution is permanent and isn't ruined when the next President is elected (probably not unlike Steve Jobs wanting to cement Apple as a leading company and not be ruined when he leaves like it went down the tubes last time he left).

If the U.S. had not supported the coup against him and had not continued to fund opposition he might have had hope that another would step up to take his place.

I just hope he does not subvert the will of the people in Venezuela, and no, the rich are not the only people in Venezuela.
