Sorry if this isn't posted in the right place but I am curious whether or not anyone knows if this is real.

Apparently, it's on the 605 in L.A.

That eyesore needs to be gotten rid of, immediately. This sort of thing should have citizens, especially residents of California up in arms, but instead nothing is being done. It's shameful.

I have embedded the image for you zenjewel.
If this is real it is pretty funny, albeit accurate depiction of current events here in the US.

Ahhh, thanks for the embed.

It's making it's way around the web today with people proclaiming that it's there now. I was looking for clarification.

Thanks for the help!

Is this billboard real?

Yes.

Old Glory covers
'Mexico' billboard

What shocks me is that Arnie wants the billboard taken down. I would've figured he would be helping fund it. Steroidboy surprises me every now and then.

I was trying to see if it was there now. I hope it's gone and doesn't return.

Sounds like it was taken down in May, 2005.

Public outrage kills 'L.A., Mexico' sign

Doesn't return, can't guarantee that with the way Kalifornia is going.

Hopefully not too off topic but what struck me about this pic is that in the U.K. its the same company that runs our billboards "ClearChannel".

With the recent election in Britain from what I remember every billboard that had a Conservative election campaign also had the logo of "ClearChannel" proudly sitting above it exactly as in this picture.

Does anyone know anything about this company? and if it has any political persuasion

Calling all ATSers from different countries, does "ClearChannel" run the billboards there too.....

I'd assume the billboard is real and I cannot say I am surprised as clear channel is the one behind the billboard. It obviously is not a serious advertisement, its satire. Clear channel is an company known for its ownership and right over the Rush Limbaugh show, The Sean Hannity show and the Savage nation (the more well know rightwing talking heads).

In 2004 Clear Channel further sparked controversy by rejecting an 'anti-war' billboard from an anti-Iraq war group. They are a rightwing slanted media group.

This is from years ago,
It wasn't sarire and the campaign ran on billboards and print.
Public outcry put and end to it. It does reflect the attitude of a great many illegals though, that's why is was used. Things are just more under the table now.
