With the oil crisis in the Gulf of Mexico there are quite a few things we as Americans as well as conspiracy theorists should have noticed immediately upon the disaster that happened.

Here is a list of a few things immediately obvious :

1) In some cases it took 2 days to hear word from this disaster.

2) 11 people are missing but we have heard nothing about the survivors family.

3) Oil prices have remained negligible and or neutral as far as price hikes.

4) Fidel Castro (more likely Raul), Hugo Chávez, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and of course Kim Jong il all have remained eerily silent.

This is one of those times these dictators would decry something about the Imperialist Devil America.

Biography: Need to Know: Fidel Castro

Hugo Chavez: "The Stupid People From Fox News"

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: "Death to Israel"

Kim Jong Il Makes First Appearance Since Stroke

I put the five videos above in case someone is not familiar with those dictators.

Now, as all of us know, this disaster is nothing less than a major crisis that will affect our national boundaries, especially after events like Hurricane Katrina and Swine Flu, and this event is something which is supposed to be far worse than the Exxon Valdez, so far.

Seeing as we are soon to be approaching hurricane season this is something which needs to be resolved as soon as possible, before it becomes almost impossible due to the weather.

This is a crisis which is going to not only affect America, but Mexico, Cuba, the fishing industry, the tourism industry, the oil industry, and the already sometimes delicate relationship of the international waters when it comes to the Gulf of Mexico.

"Knowing" movie and the Oil Rig Explosion in the Gulf of Mexico 2010.avi

Just how much do the people behind the scenes know about this stuff in advance before we do and or how much of it is pre-planned, as a terrorist threat or False-Flag Operation?

I realize we as conspiracy theorists know that the Mainstream Media covers up information, is selective in which political party they support, and as well shut down news stories which will harm people, and or use their power to destroy someone based on whatever the agenda is for the day to keep us in the dark through smoke and mirrors.

But what if these events are all unfolding now as a means towards terrifying us into trusting Government?

I am not picking on any specific political party nor politicians but the entirety of Government.

The propaganda is getting deep considering we have so many events happening lately.

Good thread Spartan as usual.

I agree with everything, except for your Iraninan " Death To Israel" video.

That was mistranslanted, but that's a whole other thread.

In any case, I do think this disaster is somewhat more sinister than an "accident".

Some of my thoughts covered in this thread:

You Think BP Wants To Fix The Spill? Your Crazy!

Missing data, no response, lax media coverage and not so clear details are all clues of a cover up.

A cover up would suggest some nefarious means to an end. A false sense of security when th Gov steps up and takes control?

Or a means to all of the suddent jack up oil prices as OPEC realizes how much oil is being spilled?

Anything is possible. I do agree it's strange that we've heard nothing of the missing people's families, seen a funeral for the dead or heard anything from the international stage.

This is an international crisis IMO, it willl affect EVERYBODY in the Gulf of Mexico and beyond.

I am not surprised about Fidel Castro not chiming in. The man is halfway in his grave. He isn't aware that he urinates himself half the time.

As for the rest...?

I'm sure somebody out there is looking for a political angle on this disaster. Stay tuned.

Yeah Castro probably doesn't know there's a spill yet.

In his pants that is...

I'm a little more surprised the Hugo didn't chime in though.

You'd think he'd be the first to point and finger and talk up his socialists agenda.

Something along the lines of " If the rig had been here, no such thing would have happened."

Well, it's not my video, YouTube had it, and I used it and neither do I agree with it.

As for the oil disaster, the fact that it was 2 days before anyone heard about it, that says something about the amount of power and influence the oil industry has over it.

I had not seen your thread, so thanks for supplying it, I have been watching the disaster though.

And the fact that there is so much information we're not hearing verses when the Exxon Valdez incident, says a lot, especially in regards to how different oil companies handle things from the disaster and clean up itself to the media.

BP Plc (BP-)

Turdblossom: $200 a Barrel Oil Prices?

Is Bio-Fuel The Answer To Soaring Oil Prices?

Quote from : Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill

The Deepwater Horizon oil spill (also referred to as the BP oil spill, Gulf of Mexico oil spill, and Deepwater BP oil spill) is a massive ongoing oil spill and oil gusher in the Gulf of Mexico that started on April 20, 2010.

The spill followed a blowout that caused an explosion on the Deepwater Horizon offshore drilling rig, which then sank off the coast of Louisiana.

Eleven rig workers are missing and presumed dead; the explosion also injured 17 others.

The oil spill covers a surface area of at least 2,500 square miles (6,500 km2) according to estimates reported on May 3, 2010 by Reuters.

The oil spill, originating from a deepwater oil well 5,000 feet (1,500 m) below sea level, was estimated to be discharging 5–100 thousand barrels (210,000–4,200,000 US gallons; 790,000–16,000,000 litres) of crude oil daily.

This figure is disputed.

The spill is expected to eclipse the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill as the worst US oil disaster in history.

Experts fear that due to factors such as petroleum toxicity and oxygen depletion, it will result in an environmental disaster whether it reaches Gulf coast or not, damaging the Gulf of Mexico fishing industry, tourism industry, and habitat of hundreds of bird species.

Crews are working to block off bays and estuaries, using anchored barriers, floating booms, and sand-filled barricades along shorelines.

BP was principal developer of the Macondo Prospect oil field and leased the drilling rig from Transocean Ltd.

The U.S. Government has named BP as the responsible party in the incident and will hold the company accountable for all cleanup costs resulting from the oil spill.

BP has accepted responsibility for the oil spill and the cleanup costs but indicated that the accident was not their fault as the rig was run by Transocean personnel.

One plan, in progress, is to lower a smaller containment box to funnel the leaking oil, through a pipe system, up to a ship on the surface (see diagram).

Initial attempts to install a larger dome failed, due to the accumulation of clathrate hydrate crystals (methane clathrate).

Other plans include having the Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) attach a smaller pipe into the leaking pipe, and also injecting objects known as junk shot into the main leak.

Odd, is it not, we can find much more information, online and through Wikipedia?

Than those of the British Petroleum oil company is forthcoming with at this time.

What makes me wonder is what other events are being covered up as far as oil.

See, I was speaking out about General Motors, at least in regards to OnStar back in 2008.

The "Global Warming Conspiracy" Revealed...H.A.A.R.P., OnStar, and Tesla...

And as soon as I find it there's a thread I did back in 2005 about OnStar.

I believe we're looking at the disaster which will push forth legislation to mandate "eco-friendly" vehicles, in order to push us into General Motors vehicles.

As well as whichever ones fall behind General Motors lockstep as to the hybrid invasion.

Oh, I have no doubt that Fidel Castro is probably incompetent, and hidden from news.

I have to wonder though if Raul Castro is going to take up ranting about America.

And if the oil disaster will be his platform.

As well, Hugo Chavez is being eerily silent, considering Venezuelan oil is cheaper.

Why are these dictators as well as the others I've mentioned completely silent?

Odd to say the least because these people could not care about America yet they are silent.

Thanks for posting those videos, as infuriating as they are. With regards to the thread about OnStar, it surely could be disabled by a competent mechanic, or at least it is easy to purchase a tool that will quickly break a window if Big Brother locks you in.

I'm in the 2012 camp, and so I live in a state of resignation as to the future of the Human race, at least those of us not blessed with a ticket to the government mega-underground bunkers. It may seem defeatist, but does anybody really see any other scenario playing out? Why else would so many thing, financially, politically and otherwise be not only progressing as they are, but quite obviously accelerating? Executives of big companies are quitting or retiring in great numbers, infrastructure in the US is crumbling and nothing is being done about it. Nothing is being done by the federal government to secure our southern border. Serious situations like North Korea and the Mexican drug cartels are being blatantly ignored. This can't be a coincidence!!!

I personally am too poor to make my own preparations for the inevitable, so I'm playing it by ear, but if it gets much worse and stays that way for much longer, I'll be living on the streets, and then I'm afraid that my inner barbarian will come out. I've seen what it can do when unleashed, and it's ugly.

The instant I started hearing about the spill, my conspiracy mind went to one of the oldest and probably one of the biggest conspiracies to date.

Peak oil and the supposed "fossil" fuels.

Think about it. Not just the devastation itself to be considered here. Why would the world keep quiet about this? Would all of the countries you mention, care if this catastrophe destroyed the area involved? No, of course not. They would be using this to demonize the west and anyone else they wanted to demonize.

The only thing that makes sense, using Occum's razor, is that their is NO shortage of oil.

This is the ONE thing that the governments of the world would not want the people of the world to know.

Think about it. What keeps our societies under control? The ever preaching lie that there is a shortage of resources, especially oil.

What if THAT came out? What if the Russian scientists were right all along? I am 95% certain that is why this is being kept quiet.

The government cannot and will not let us know that oil is not scarce. Yes, over the years we have depleted the easy access oil reserves. Of course these reserves have the uncanny ability to refill slowly.

I will not get into the conspiracy on this, there are all kinds of threads here on it.

To me, this is my conclusion. If the governments allows this to be released, everything could come apart. Everything they have used to control their people, will be seen as lies and manipulation.

Energy is not scarce, there is no limited pie, this has been and will always be about the control of the populace.

Well, as far as disabling OnStar, there is not just one device within the car.

The primary device is within the engine and the secondary one is in the gasoline tank.

This is so if the primary one fails, and or is disabled, the secondary one is there.

And I firmly believe this will be used as well as the scam of the "Global Warming" threat, as a means to push eco-friendly vehicles through Congressional mandate.

Destroy the world, through the false scare tactic of "Global Warming", destroy the economies of the world, through the economies of each country collapsing, and then destroy the world with a cataclysmic oil disaster, among other things.

Oil, oil, oil....

Everyone keeps talking about the oil and is missing the bigger picture.

The Deepwater Horizon wasn't after oil, primarily, although that was/is the cover, the more easily digestible bit.

They were going after the methane hydrate deposits. That area has one of the largest fields anywhere. That's probably why the Gulf of Mexico Dead Zone is dead: too much methane in the water.

So now there's who-knows-how-much methane gas dissolving into the waters around the leak, most likely changing the pressure gradients, allowing more hydrates to sublimate out. The area has had odd subsea subsidence quakes, not caused by tectonics, but more likely from sucking out too much oil and gas.

I've collected research in this thread:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

The data suggest a worst-case scenario of a hurricane reducing hydrostatic pressure over the leak allowing a sudden massive sublimation of methane gas burping into the eye, with the subsidence event causing a small tsunami of hydrocarbon-laden water sloshing the rim of the Gulf.

Look at the data and tell me I'm wrong, and why.

Explosion happend on April 20th. Original reports stated no signs of leaks until 2 days later on April 22nd which was Earth Day 2010.

Any significance?

I have never believed the farce about the scarcity of oil, endisnighe.

When you read as much as I do and investigate the evidence available you find it difficult to buy anything those in power are trying to sell you like a worthless piece of crap as a garage sale for far more than it is truly worth to begin with.

The Al Saud family has had a major influence and control of oil in Saudi Arabia, and for those who know about it, the Bush family has a major control over oil reserves in Texas.

The oil industry is one of those ones easily manipulated by World Government.

This is because the citizens, at least the average ones, pay little to no attention.

When it comes to politics, the average citizen is either oblivious, or so wrapped up in wanting to watch "Survivor" or "American Idol", the bread and circuses, instead of the duplicitous politicians who control the oil.

I suggest you read this book about the United Nations which covers many cover-ups.

And the Oil for Food scam is far deeper than we ever knew.

The scams and cons get deeper and deeper as we go further down the rabbit hole.

With the oil reserves we have around the world, in Texas, and the Alaskan Pipeline, the fishy cover-ups, collusion, and crimes of government are crystal clear.

At least to me.

My thoughts exactly. I believe oil to be abiotic. Getting at that oil, responsibly, is another thing altogether. They are feeling a bit guilty on account of the 'secret' which is controlled by those who suppress truth-being the media-and are a bit shell shocked and dumb, at the present.

Don't worry. The second the oil is contained, they'll be right back at it in full roar.

Government will tax the bejesus out of oil and oil will simply transfer the cost to us.

Works every time.

While I can see the oil and methane hydrate as potentially big issues it will be the laws changing, the ocean affected, and the already crumbled economy which are far more significant, at least as far as how they effect our nation and International Waters.

I see you have collected a lot of website links but that nothing is sorted into an outline.

Care to outline your findings here in more detail?

What I'm looking for is your comprehensive thoughts on what you found.

From the information in the website links, in your words, sifted and sorted out of them.

In other words, please, feel free to share your thoughts and words, because looking at those websites tells me the information available, but not your thoughts on them.

And I appreciate you supplying and sharing your thoughts so far I'm just lost as to the specifics behind what you're seeing verses what I'm seeing here.

3) Oil prices have remained negligible and or neutral as far as price hikes.

This has also been in the back of my mind. In the past, even a hint of a disruption at any oil refinery anywhere has led to massive price spikes at the pump. Here we have an epic major oil disaster, and no price spike???

Obviously, either something then, or something now is being manipulated!

Are you thinking this event might have been a False-Flag Operation?

Because of the timing of it happening just prior to Earth Day it is odd.

If the World Government, the United Nations, wanted to solidify a One World Government, what better way to do it, through an International Incident like an oil accident?

Just prior to Earth Day making us think of the world through the hive mind?

And the likelihood of our national boundaries collapsing due to economic crisis and oil crisis?

It was the turtles that put me on the methane.

I got to wondering what was happening to the gas that was being released and how it was dispersing through the water. Now I'm wondering if they've done tests to see how the disperants they are using react with the gas under the pressures and at the temperatures involved. Somehow I doubt they've bothered.

People tend to forget the sea has layers and each layer may have a current flowing in different directions. The visible oil on the surface is merely part of the story. I think there are several different slicks at several different depths moving in seperate directions. Also bear in mind that this area corresponds to the Gulf of Mexico Dead Zone, which supports little to no aquatic life (due to outgassing methane?).

Now that it seems that the spill is running somewhere over 50,000 barrels a day and has been since the beginning, it only makes sense the oil is spreading subsea.

The area they were drilling in is the Mississippi Canyon area, very rich in methane hydrates, one of the largest fields in the world. It has historically (geologically speaking) had large-scale collapses of the the canyon. It isn't terribly stable ground in the first place. 4.8 and 5.3 earthquakes were recorded in this area on 18 April, 2006 and 10 February, 2006 respectively. These were apparently not due to tectonic movement, but rather slumping of the seafloor such as I've been concerned about. While they did not generate tsunamis, that doesn't mean that a sudden collapse of a pocket under the sea floor due to the current out-gassing wouldn't.

Methane hydrates are solids only under specific temperatures and pressures. If they are already dissolving in the waters around the leak, that would reduce the hydrostatic pressure, pushing it closer to sublimation points. A hurricane passing over the zone would reduce it further. Would it reduce it enough to cause a massive sublimation event?

I don't know.

I do know that there's a lot of the stuff right there (it's what they were after more than the oil, I think).

I do know that there have been significant anomalous subsea quakes in the area recently.

I do know that if a significant amount of hydrates suddenly dissolve into the water, it has a good chance of creating a subsidence event that could create a tsunami.

I'm not saying that these things will happen...I'm saying that rational people should be examining the possibility, which doesn't seem to be happening anywhere.

If it were to occur I wouldn't expect a huge tsunami, but even a small one sloshing oil and methane laden water around the gulf would be a very serious problem, much worse than it is right now.

Now here's a question for the appropriate experts out there:

Assuming:

A. The leak isn't stemmed before a hurricane hits.

B. The subsurface plumes don't dissipate or they grow more extensive.

C. There are subsurface methane-saturated plumes also.

D. A hurricane passes over the leak zone.

E. The low pressure lifts the sea over the leak zone.

Then:

A. Wouldn't that set of assumptions lead one to think there would be a strong possibility of the methane hydrates sublimating out of the floor due to cumulative pressure changes?

B. A runaway sublimation process could begin, leading to

C. A seafloor collapse in the leak zone resulting in:

D. A combination hurricane and tsunami with both wind and water filled with hydrocarbons?

Study the data and show me the physics or chemistry or whatever that eliminates this scenario as a possibility, and I'll be grateful for the news.

Even without that, shouldn't we be monitoring the amount of dissolved methane in the Gulf waters?

Quote from : Wikipedia : Project for the New American Century

The Project for the New American Century (PNAC) was an American think tank based in Washington, D.C. that lasted from early 1997 to 2006.

It was co-founded as a non-profit educational organization by neoconservatives William Kristol and Robert Kagan.

The PNAC's stated goal was "to promote American global leadership."

Fundamental to the PNAC were the view that "American leadership is both good for America and good for the world" and support for "a Reaganite policy of military strength and moral clarity."

The PNAC exerted influence on high-level U.S. government officials in the administration of U.S. President George W. Bush and affected the Bush Administration's development of military and foreign policies, especially involving national security and the Iraq War.
