look on the bright side America there could be decent local live music at neighborhood cafe' and or bar. instead of the mainstream music that seems to only promote crap music just to make the other less talented artist whith there weird azz digitaly "enhanced" voices sound some what talarable.
nothing beats and incredible set of good original local under ground music. not that i have a gear to grind whith the big names just perfer a nice little crowd of say 30-50 heads. or huge festival of jamband stuff is also the best!

For Socialism to work, everyone must be of equal motivation, honest and hard working. Like that will ever happen and that is what makes it always fail. It always ends up with a two class society based on social status, whereas in Capitalism at least everyone has a chance and there is a middle class.

Funny, many would consider you misinformed.

Well that same thing was done to illegals back during the Reagan era and the problem was not resolved actually the illegals in the nation grew from only 2 million during the Reagan amnesty to now 13 millions.

So as you see it didn't work, still most of the illegal immigrants are in the very poor group in the nation.

Its going to cost trillions of tax payer money for amnesty so as you see is not benefiting the economy.

Research the facts about Amnesty and how much will cost this time around.

If you declare your life itself to be a conceptual art piece, do you think they will toss in some Council of Arts money on top of the free healthcare?

Contrary to popular belief, I think it is possible for all people to become motivated enough to live in such a world. A lot of people tend to give humanity a bad rap simply because they suggest that humans are bound by some kind of natural frame work which prevents them from achieving truly benevolent things.

People that say humans are incapable of such things are liars. Humans have enormous potential. Not all of us make use of it, and choose to act like animals out of free-will or lack of reason.

Anyone that tells you humans are nothing but animals, bound to savagery and jealousy, are usually only looking at people through a biological lenses. Of which we do share some similarities, why? Because we came from that world. But we can evolve from it, and have been. These people that believe humans are like animals ignore the most important aspect of humans, their minds. Which clearly sets us apart from the animal kingdom.

Anyway, point is. Leeching off the system is not what I advocate. Like I said in my post, I want everyone to carry their own weight and not act like a bunch of #ing lunatics let loose in a cheese factory.

But it is also important for us to have some damn humanity and care about the people around us, more than we have been. We've become significantly disconnected.

The most important point I made is the IDEA that is to be taken from socialism, not the actual practice, because I feel governments are full of horse-# in excess. The concept of having humanity and behaving like a human is what I subscribe to.

Capitalism teaches us, "To each their own." "Find your own path." "Everyone else will find their own, or rot in the dust." Which inherently are not bad things, because people that make poor decisions will dissolve. But to get ahead on the basis of others making poor or uneducated decisions, to me, is ridiculous. We have more sense than that.

Using your own positive. Wouldn't a "socialist" kind of governance ALSO give everyone the opportunity to have something? Just like capitalism? I know you will note that socialism doesn't really allow for free movement. And you're right. Which is why I say it would be best if by economic standards everyone could live like a wealthy person while having a socialist regime. But we can't do that now.

In my opinion, such a state would rely on machines to handle all menial tasks and hold up the economy. While machine enthusiasts handle maintenance and whatnot.

I don't know how far ahead in the future that is though.

even if they are actually are out of the mandate (no one has named any numbers so everyone's outraged over a potential situation), free health care doesn't mean free housing, free money, free food, or even free willy

or did I seriously miss something in the bill?

which makes this whole issue irrelevant because "you" (which means all legal citizens) are only paying for doctor's visits, which everyone should have.


I'm not down with pelosi, she tends to bring the dumb, but scrutinizing and spinning this quote isn't news or a conspiracy theory, or even a good use of time.

Well I disagree with you to a point, I voted for Obama, I also wanted a health care Reform what I wasn't expecting was the transfer of the government debt into the tax payer pockets, neither the fact that this HCR is nothing but a bailout for the private insurance companies at the expenses of again my tax payer dollars.

Is people in this board that spend months tracking the health care reform from beginning to end.

Also, lumping together significant politicians to suit a personal agenda is what is inherently wrong with this system to begin with.

I was under the impression the politicians, Pelosi included, worked for their constituents..

I believe if you check, the current system of government in this nation is separated into three distinct entities and Pelosi belongs to one, Obama the other..
