May 13, 2010|By Thomas H. Maugh II, Los Angeles Times Twelve percent of Mexico's spiny lizard population has been driven to extinction over the last quarter-century by increasing local temperatures, a phenomenon that is linked to global warming, researchers said Thursday. The results suggest that, if warming continues, nearly 40% of all lizard populations globally and 20% of all lizard species could become extinct by 2080, the authors said.

Im not posting this in fragile Earth because its another absurd claim by the proponents of global warming IMO. 40% of all lizards gone by 2080 . hmm hmm right.....

"These lizards need to bask in the sun to warm up, but if it gets too hot they have to retreat into the shade and then they can't hunt for food," he said at a news conference.

... Dinosaurs lived during the most well known stages of global warming. Tree and plants thrive during high temps and high humidity, giving more shade for the lizards. In "global warming" they will thrive with more heat.

It bothers me when a scientist lacks more critical thinking skills than a non-scientist (me).
