20 million in a population of 300 million means the US has about a 6.5% illegal rate. That's fairly average. A little low perhaps.
You also mention that about 1/3 are in employment, given that 1 service job is created for every 3 people, they currently hold as many jobs as they
create, although I suspect the 1/3 is an underestimation.
Basically, the US seems to be in the exact same situation with immigration as every other developed country and the arguments from either side are
nearly the exact same all over.
Australia and New Zealand have immigration from South East Asia and Europe has immigration from Central Asia and Africa as well as huge internal
migrations from the former eastern bloc countries. You hear the same stupid crap about foreign shops, restaurants, languages, religion, crime and
culture-death from bigots everywhere, not to mention the "they're stealing our jobs and women" bollox.
Not to be derogatory, but the fact that you don't know that it's the same all over suggests you're fairly ignorant about the rest of the
....so let me tell you this. If you are unlucky enough to be born into a crappy country and you get the opportunity to get to a relatively good
country and make a better life for your family, you take it!!
I'm fairly sure you'd take it and you're damn sure I'd take it. The truth is, illegal immigrants are doing exactly what I'd do in their
situation, what anyone worth their salt would do in that situation. Maybe you should try learning a little about the world and thinking about it from
a few different points of view before you post any more crap about the special immigration situation in the US.
If none of that helps you unbunch your knickers, think about this, there are a hell of a lot of people in the US that take their freedom for granted
and piss all over it. Somebody who's walked across the border has just risked life and limb for that same freedom. Who do you want to stand with?
