america should change it's logo...

america being a "free country" is NOT a big deal in todays world...

ALMOST EVERY country has BASIC freedoms (life, food, water)

america has there version of basic freedoms (tv, computer, electricity)

america now says that THEIR "basic" freedoms are necessary for a country to be FREE...

so america being a FREE country is NOT a big deal because in order to be a free country you have to have BASIC freedoms NOT AMERICA'S "basic" freedoms...

as far as america being "united" well thats a laugh...

with EVERY state having different laws and etc. were not really united when you think about it...

Who cares if it's a "big deal" or not.

I wasn't aware that was the problem.

UH...EXCUSE ME....CONFUSED PERSON.....I think you have made a little mistake there:

(Freedom)
noun: the condition of being free; the power to act or speak or think without externally imposed restraints

I think you are confusing NECCESSITY with FREEDOM

Is it my imagination, or are some people trying their hardest to think of topics instead of just letting it come naturally?

By the way, UI was not aware we had a "logo"; is there a trademark on it?

freedom is being able to have those things... (water, food, life)

there are dictators taking away these things from people so its NOT free!

If you're going to make up your own definitions, you may end up with only yourself to talk to.

How about "United States of Fundamentalist Cowboy's Rule" umm the USFCR, that's not too bad.

Seriously though, from where I stand it appears that much of the world agrees with you Mr. ALL. Head on over to the European Union or Canada, they're acting more American than America these days.

your definition of freedom(life, food, water) you say is in ALMOST every country...now in which countrys ISNT your definition in effect?

To my knowledge, any citizen without this "freedom" couldnt survive, therefore killing the country.

So then country's with slavery and no representation, if still allowing its citizens to have life, food and water, is a free country?

I dont think so.

Oh brother. Venus is right, food, water and shelter are necessary for life, not freedom.

If you don't have those, you die. If you don't have freedom, you life might suck, but you won't always die.

By the way, care to name these dictators for us? Or do you want us to just take your word on it.

If you want to have a conversation about it (which people, including you, could learn from and broaden their knowledge, then that's awesome.
Otherwise, you can spout all day, and nothing is the better for it.

Let's try to better outselves and the site bud.

we are given these inalienable rights: life liberty and the PURSUIT of happiness.

you're confusing commercialism with our fundamental core beliefs and rights as a nation.

do not confuse them.

i dont see the mentioning of having a TV or a computer or anything of the sort in our constitution but oviously you've found an amendment i'm not aware of, what number is it??? BTW these are not freedoms but the product of a consumer society. again this has NOTHING to do with freedoms or rights. you're confusing commercialism with our rights. i dont see america pushing these things, i see american and as well as non american companies pushing this though.

i see you have a huge misunderstanding about this country and how our government works. i wont bother to educate you as my words will fall on deaf ears, perhaps if someone else wants to play Saint Jude...

but its so nice to see the sheeple falling in line to blindly bash and "make satire" based on yet more ignorance. so sad to see people engaging in the "us v. them" war they have created for you. its so easy to manipulate a person when they're emotionally charged, they rarely think, they just lash out.
