That was a pretty good little film. The CG was awesome, though a little animated in parts. Other than that, this was a very well produced piece. Nice find!

Very impressive texturing. THat's the bit I hate. HATE. Worse with Maya though. Some of the animation is not particularly convincing, but otherwise, very good.

I think the point of the poster is that it's hard to spot the difference nowadays between CGI and reality.

If that's the case OP, you sure made your point.

There are days I long for the time before computers and digital camera's.

What an amazing piece of animation. Beautifully surreal in places. Oh, and I want to live in that house in the woods.

Absolutely! It's impossible to distinguish between "real" and cgi.

I didn't watch the whole thing, as I've seen it before. But in the first minute or so that I watched, I think the most unconvincing thing was the movement of the pen. So that is saying something, really; if that is the most unconvincing part Very good texturing and lighting, particularly.

Not at this level, there were some signs pointing to CGI, specially the movements, the way the focus changes, the repeating textures, etc.

I know it's not really the point but I loved the music, it was definitely my favorite part. It looked awesome, I wish going into I hadn't known that it was cgi though, thanks for posting this.

Sorry for being a spoiler.

It is absolutely immaculate work, done by a true artist. However, I too noticed that it was not 100% flawless. 99% flawless though is good enough for me. But the entire thing is not CGI, here is a direct quote from Alex Roman:

"There are a few non-CG elements in the shortfilm: photographer (shot on greenscreen), pigeons, timelapsed growing flowers, flying airplane and sky backgrounds."
