Quite right.

I live in an area where there is an unhealthy number of Chinese illegals. About once a year you hear about an ICE raid where they scooped up 2 or 3 illegals working in a restaurant kitchen. My cop buddy says he sees 2 or 3 a month during traffic stops that have no proof of identity. They will confess to being here illegally, even give over their employer's name who helped smuggle them into the country. Local police call ICE and give them the story. ICE says they are too busy, the illegal Chinese guy posts bail for driving without a licence and no insurance, and is free as a bird.

My brother is a cop in another part of the country where he runs into eastern european illegals about once a month. These "ladies" are not in the restaurant business if you catch my drift, but again, it's the employer that is bringing them in. And again, local police can do nothing except call ICE, get rejected, and charge them with prostitution. They are back on the street in a days time.

It's not a race issue.

you'll see that there's not much difference.

There is a difference. If you work under the table and have and SSN You owe the IRS.

You have to pay bills and some of those bills will put you on the radar.

The illegal with no SSN can't be tracked as easily as an American Citizen.

'Maybe we would all be better off being illegal'

I don't think a person working "under the table" will use his SSN at his workplace.

Even if you have a SSN or not, if you worked in the US and had an income for that job...you owe the IRS.

hard to track? maybe...maybe that's why we can't find Osama...he has no SSN

There have been Illegals here in MS rebuilding after Katrina making good money

And most, if not all are being paid as independent contractors. Saves the employer money even though the illegals don't qualify as independent contractors.

HEY OP PASS DIS 2 10 PEOPLE N ALL UR DREAMZ WILL COME TRU, IF U DONT ULL DIE TRU STORY

No facts, no figures, just a chain e-mail. This is what makes the front page these days? Have to agree with you on this point.

I know a few illegals. They don't seem to be living too high off the hog, to put it in the country way. In fact, one woman I know sleep on the floor with her two sisters because their kids must have the bed (and they should sleep on the bed). Sounds like a life to envy

first, i said 10's of Ks not 100s i said 100k if u want it within a year.

reason for denial?

www.usimmigrationlawyers.com...

look at the last one. how about you dont "have good moral character"?

anyways, they'll give you any reason, but the real reason is ur broke ass is doin it urself, and thats not good enough. u need a fancy lawyer to put some fancy stamps on your crap. all i know is my dad got denied, handed same papers to a lawyer and got approved. 10's of ks comes from it being a family of 5 and the lawyer charge a coupla stacks each.

This is american dream? u must be asleep
To ever believe this ridiculous sh*
You say constitution? Forget about it
They took a sh* on it only last week
With that socialistic healthcare trick
A healthcare bill 2000 page thick
Pork earmarks taxes disguised within it
Requiring us to buy things we don't need
Passed by bribed congressmen against peoples wil
Shoved down our throats while were sitting still
I don't think we can swallow dat large of a pill
Our country we cannot allow them to kill
On the countrary only cowards can sit back and chill....

my question is was anyone cussing and crying when George Bush was in office, so wipe your tears this has been going on before Obama was in office.

Are you really that dense or are you 12 years old? The problem is becoming more and more obvious and we are suppose to ignore it because there were not as many oppossed to ILLEGAL imigration when bush was in office?

Or is it that we should turn the other way since the great one is in office?

To answer your question, yes, I was cussing and screaming when Bush was in office.

Have you ever thought that maybe this is bigger than a party affiliation?

Why do the Libs always miss the point. They Are Here ILLEGALLY! Calling it a chain letter does nothing for your arguement.

We need to enforce the Laws on the books and expand the states rights like the new AZ law and make it 10 times harder to be here illegally.

I agree with both Piddles (I think that's his username) and Antonia.
I know a few illegals too, and they work in the fields picking fruit. They earn minimum wage just like the other legal workers around them. And they most certainly do not live the good life. I feel bad for all of them because here they are trying to support their families here and across the border.

Look it's ker2010, the guy who can't read people's names correctly!

I've told you before I am against illegal immigration. I think the country is overpopulated now, but i'm also not an idiot. 7 to 20 million people didn't get here overnight and the problem sure as hell isn't going to be solved overnight. Of course you will continue to scream irrationally because I don't agree with you. So be it, be ignorant. It's your life.

As for me missing the point, well, considering there are no actual facts to back it up-I'm not sure what the point was. Where do you get your numbers?

The problem is easily solvable IF ,,, IF the government wanted to solve it.

Fine anyone hiring illegals oodles of money, they will stop hiring them, they will then stop coming. When a illegal is turned in deport them.

Problem solved.

And im willing to bet the ratio of illegal immigrants who are mexican is high.
Arent you the one who said you went through all the trouble to become a legal here in the states?? If so how would it be fair to you to let the ones who are illegal have legal status. That isnt fair to you, or others like you.

Funny how Americans want the laws enforced only when it is convenient to them.

Come on law abiding Americans, let us enforce all laws on the books.

Florida Laws

* Women may be fined for falling asleep under a hair dryer, as can the salon owner. (Guess they could cook their brains...)
* A special law prohibits unmarried women from parachuting on Sunday or she shall risk arrest, fine, and/or jailing.
* If an elephant is left tied to a parking meter, the parking fee has to be paid just as it would for a vehicle. (Ringling Bros. must have been caught trying to park for free?)
* It is illegal to sing in a public place while attired in a swimsuit.
* Men may not be seen publicly in any kind of strapless gown. (Well sure, it would fall off!)
* Having sexual relations with a porcupine is illegal. (Ouch. What spineless legislator thought that one up?)
* It is illegal to skateboard without a license.
* When having sex, only the missionary position is legal. (Not going to touch that one!)

* You may not fart in a public place after 6 P.M. on Thursdays. (So eat your beans and cabbage for breakfast on Thursdays, please. Wait a minute - why just Thursdays?)
* It is considered an offense to shower naked. (For some people, that may be true...)

* You are not allowed to break more than three dishes per day, or chip the edges of more than four cups and/or saucers. (I would certainly hope not in this house!)
* Oral sex is illegal. (No kissing, please!)
* You may not kiss your wife's breasts. (What about women other than your wife?)
* Penalty for horse theft is death by hanging.

I'm so sorry that happened to you or any legal immigrant. It shouldn't cost anything to come here legally, beyond your personal effort. You sure as hell shouldn't need a lawyer! There should be citizen advisors or mentors or something who volunteer- or even if it were a paid position, to assist people through the process. It is an investment in the immigrant's future & our own, as a country.

FYI last time I checked the US embassy in my country charges $150 dollars just to file the paper work and set up a date for a interview.

May not seem like much to someone in the US but it is equal to three weeks wages for someone making minimum wage locally.

No guarantee that you will be approved and this is just for a tourist's visa. No work permit just a visitor.

Getting a workers visa is just more hoops to jump through and a green card (permanent residency) is not going to happen without a lawyer and more hoop jumping.

I could see why someone in Mexico would rather pay $200 to have someone smuggle them across the border.
