YES! wow. i wholeheartedly agree. now that you elaborated further. but you're not going to wake noone up by bitchin and arugin. only by elaborating your thoughts like you just did. and also recognizing the big problem, not complaining about illegals trashing murdering etc. legal citizens do that too.
so i agree with you. the problem lies within the people not realizing what the problem is. they're asleep complaining about the "flowers" of the problem and not waking up to the ROOT cause

You DO realize that some illegals do pay taxes, right? Probably a lot more than you think. Also, as another poster said, quit blaming an entire race of people for taking something that is being GIVEN to them which is FAR better than anything else they have to BUST THEIR A** for in their own country and STILL barely make it-- BARELY, if at all.

Target the person who gave "Jose Illegal" (disgusting) his pay check in the first place KNOWING he is illegal.

You know what? They are doing that right now - toughening laws and doing raids at companies suspected of hiring illegal immigrants. And people are STILL going on that it's racist and unconstitutional to target employers who give jobs to illegals.

Don't you get that the people who are against enforcing immigration laws are also against anything being done to curb illegal entry into this country?

In my opinion arguing politics over and over to devise a means to create new government power to enforce immigration laws is the equivalent to supporting illegal immigration.

The government are the ones everyone should be angry with. Not the illegals.

After all, they already have the means in place to combat the issue. Like you said, they just don't enforce it.

thank god i think i see light at the end of tunnel. yes the govt is to blame. and the problem is way bigger then just illegal immigration.

I'm really having hard time understanding why in the hell people keep denigrating illegal immigrants. When they are most obviously not the problem.

Why do we have all these threads directly targeting illegal immigrants instead of the people who employee them and the government officials who look the other way. You act as if it's an atrocity to want to risk doing something illegal in order to help your family when someone is MORE THAN WILLING to provide you with the means to do so.

I think it's high time we shift the focus here because it is the ONE THING we can all agree on. There's no screaming back and forth and calling eachother names when you look at it from this angle.

If there are no jobs for illegals then there are no illegals coming over here for jobs. Get it?

UNITED WE STAND

Give me a break. Do you even live in a border state? Do you have ANY experience with this issue? I do. I see these people every day and the comments from the op are correct in every sense. I again encourage hispanics not to align themselves with the illegals. It just makes you look bad.

THANK YOU!!!

I didn't see this before I posted my last reply, but this is exactly what I'm talking about. Don't people realize the tension that is being slowly built up as a result of all this rhetoric while those slimy SOB's are in their towers licking their lips and rubbing their hands together just waiting for the tipping point to occur?

You can't hold a drug addict accountable for continuing to take drugs if someone is giving him free heroin? Okay, not a great analogy but you catch my drift.

I might only say that you are a just a racist prick. First of all, you blame the so called "alien” because he ain't working legally when as a good citizen ( I really doubt you are one) you should be blame the contractor who hires and pay under the table.
Second and must important, you are blaming the immigration when your whole country its been built base on immigrants, I bet you are not native american therefore you are a skinny white trash.
Open your eyes dude, stop blaming mexicans for your laziness, look at the top of the pyramid and ask the people up there why have you been screwed!!!

From Europe the so called Socialist continent!!!!

Another one of "these" threads....

My problem isnt with the OP, I find this to be a current, important topic that more people need to understand. My problem is with the people who dont even have the self control to have a mature, civil, conversation.

Let me explain to you how it works:

1) You make a statement, or share an opinion

2) Others read what you posted and either concur with your feelings, or retort with their own.

Step 3 isnt calling someone "a F&Cing IDIOT" as a fellow poster so elegantly did a few posts ago. People who are so counter productive as to resort to childish name calling, not to mention using profanity to verbally abuse or insult a fellow posters intelligence only makes you look like an ignorant troll.

*Phew! Sorry guys, had to get that out.

Now then, back to the topic. I have lived in SoCal my entire life, but have traveled extensively. ATS'ers from abroad, its hard for you to truly grasp this issue because I can guarantee you come from a country that actually enforces its immigration laws. (GASP)

If you live in the UK, you guys are lucky to be on an island, trust me... same with the Aussies, bigger island, same principal.

On a recent thread, we even discovered that MEXICO itself has much harsher immigration laws.

People keep trying to make this into a race issue just because they think of Americans as white, and hispanics as brown. Newsflash: the US is no longer predominately white. We are a nation made up of MANY cultures. If Canada was invading, we would feel the same about them. But you know what? They dont invade us, because they work hard to make their own country a nice place. (What a concept!!)

This is an issue of people willfully, knowingly breaking our laws. Then expecting rights and support. Do you not see an issue with that? Its like being spit in the face, then backhanded after you wipe the spit off.

We have laws in place for a reason. If you dont like it, then do something LEGAL about it. If I smoke crack in an alley, should I be surprised if I get caught and arrested? Or should I say, "I came from a corrupt, poor country. You should feel bad for me, and not only should you give me my crack back, you and your people should spend your hard earned money to buy me more!!" Do you see the ignorance in the other side of this argument?

Alcohol was illegal in this country for a brief period, and guess what? It was voted back in as a legal drink. Say it with me now... "VOTED"

And all you people who say," this land belongs to the Mexican people, they were here first!" Mexico was once a super power, and had large army, and a huge area of land. They started this whole thing by first welcoming American settlers into areas such as Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, then when they realized they were being over run, they went to war to kick our asses out! Remember the Alamo? Santa Ana anyone?

Americans defeated Mexicans and both sides agreed to draw new boundary lines. California was SOLD by Mexico. SOLD!!!

You dont sell someone a house, then years later just show up, move back in, eat their food, use up their resources, and say: "hey, I lived here first!"

Do you now see the ignorance that has permeated this issue?
Sadly, I probably just wasted my time, as most people will write me off when they see which side I am for. If you stuck through my post to the end... Thank YOU.

This is BS I am from south of the mexican border and have had many friends and family go north through mexico and those that got caught by police and had the cash on hand bribed their way through and those that didn't got turned around.

The stories of people being robbed and murdered are about criminals robbing and killing immigrants. Just like walking through a bad neighborhood in th US or any large city on this planet.

And dont look at my name as an indicator to why I feel as I do.

Its about logic, not emotions.

My name says WhiteDevil, but my grandmother is Mexican. Even she feels the same as I do on this issue.

Her family maintained diplomatic ties after California was sold to America. Her great grandfather was a general, and a respected man on both sides. The US govt wanted someone they could trust, who the mexican people ( who still made up a large % in california) would also respect.

He became the first GOVERNOR of California. His name was Figueroa. Look him up

The real answer is for them to stop running away from their problems and fix their country. Until they do? What are we going to do, move the whole country up here? When are the People of Mexico going to stand up for themselves instead of running away like rats from a ship?

Guess when Americans stand up to its government. But like Americans, Mexicans are just as divided as to what to do.

Furthermore, have you analyzed what role US foreign policy has had on Mexico? Just take the war on drugs alone, you can definitely see US involvement. The US is backing a war that is further hurting the average Mexican.

Closing the border is not racist.

I, for one, never said it was. What angers me is that people rather bash a group of individuals for something that has been overlooked(for the most part) by Americans and our government alike for many years. One really has to ask if this thread would even exist if the good times were still here?

Take your Lilly White butts to a Barrio run by MS13 and see how appreciative they are for your generosity. Better yet, try and drive a car across Mexico with US plates and no travel documents. See how well they like you. See if they give you money, a place to live, a job and free medical care. Go ahead and try it. I dare you.

MS-13 aren't Mexicans. But I could take you to some American gangs that would treat with the same hospitality as MS-13. Thugs are thugs no matter which country they come from.

As far as going into Mexico, isn't that the place many criminals take off to when they don't want to get caught. IMO, Mexico will probably treat worse than what the US treats the illegals here. But the US isn't supposed to lower the standards it portrays to the world.

MS13 is the mexican mafia what the hell are you even talking about?

We appreciate you sticking your neck out in the flame thrower to attempt to show hard money and sense(cents), still, to no avail, some will never get it or refuse to get it!

People; This is an example and most of it is spot on.

Race card throwers:

This is Not about hating Mexicans, and I don't blame the people for crossing the borders to what little is still left of the American Dream!

I have true friends of all colors and backgrounds, which I think most of us do.

One of my best customers was born south of the border, and is one of the nicest and hard working individuals, bar None! They are legal immigrants.

He is a straight up guy, does business with a handshake with me and people he can trust. His employees are motivated by him and work hard for him. He never asks for anything for free.

He is proud of his heritage, but LOVES the USA and thanks god every day for being here in America!

He is a business man, family man, religious man, politically, believes the same things I do and what is wrong with this country. As Savage defines it; Language, Borders, Culture.

If we don't continue to speak out to save Our Country and get our, "We the People" Government back from these criminals that are running our Government and Wall Street soon, we may not be able to turn it back.

Legal is Legal!

Illegal is Not Legal!

Illegal is Illegal!

What don't you understand?!!!
