I know I'm in Australia but many police here have been caught accessing peoples crimanal records for their own or a friends needs..
They get a slap on the wrist.
Accessing student loan information get $100000 fine or a year in jail and you think thats OK?
Also, how many other people have been arrested for similar crimes that were not about Obama?? I guessing few to none. and if so, why the special treatment?

They committed a crime, plain and simple.

No worries, eh? I am certain they'll get a 'fair trial' lol.

If they did this, they deserve to be punished. Would you want them snooping into your information?

In a perfect America, I would have the right to do whatever I wanted - so long as I did not infringe on anyone else's rights.

Obama the man has a right to privacy, but as soon as he became employed by the people, his records should have become public.

But then...he wouldn't be 'president'....would he?

Maybe you don't know this because you ain't got a clue, but THE GOVERNMENT IS SPYING ON EVERYTHING.

INTERNET, PHONES, MAIL, BANK ACCOUNTS, EVERYTHING.

When they do it, IT'S OKAY. EVEN WITHOUT WARRANTS.

But when the legitimate people want to have true information THAT SHOULD BE PUBLIC SINCE HE WORKS FOR THE PEOPLE, AND THAT ALL PRESIDENTS BEFORE HIM RELEASED, they are arrested.

GIVE ME A FREAKING BREAK.

So now 9 people lives are probably ruined over a stupid internet rumor that never had one bit of proof to it.

Tell me this...do you think they found anything? If they did...don't you think they would of already talked?

Give it up people...9 people have abused their position...accessed Obama's records and have still found NOTHING...and now they will have a record and most likely jail time.

None of your theories have ANY PROOF at all....NOTHING...yet you still continue to believe. When will you admit that you are just wrong.

Obama is the President. He is a natural born citizen. He was born in Hawaii. He did not get student loans as a foriegn student. He does not have multiple SSN. He is not a Muslim. He is not a Communist. He is not a Socialist. He is not a Nazi. He is not a secret CIA agent. He is not a terrorist. He is not a traitor. He is not the anti-christ.

Just give it up...it is just sad and pathetic.

"If they did this, they deserve to be punished."

And what would you suggest for such a henious crime?
Stoning?

I can't believe you guys are even talking like you are.
It's not like he has anything to hide and I'd think he should be proud of everything he has done in life. Heck, he's the Pres of the US of A......

Maybe he just wants to be remembered as the most myterious president ever...

If someone used a government computer to look up your records without permission, they committed a crime. Just as these people are being charge with doing. I have no right to snoop into your private life. And they had no right to snoop into the president's private life.

Nice. I see you support the law. Or is that only when it works in your favor? I am not a lawyer, I don't know what the punishment would be.

Yeah except THE government employees are NEVER ARRESTED. They are given PROMOTIONS.

I'm all for equal law for EVERYONE. Not just the government. When the government violates the rights of everyone but when anyone else does it to disclose information that should be public and is arrested, THIS IS UTTER BS.

Government employees are allowed to look at your files in certain circumstances. If they do so outside of these circumstances, they have broken the law.

Why should the president's school records be public?

People give up their Private Life when they become Public Figures.

That has been known and accepted for centuries.
Just ask Paris Hilton, Charlie Sheen or Tiger Woods.

It is ok to do some things in some places. That does not mean the US should hold itself to that standard. Should we stone rape victims to death too because other people do that elsewhere or do you think maybe Austrailia should worry about how Austrailia does it and let the US worry about how the US does it?

Just curious because I really do not understand that line of thinking? This is what we do in Austrailia so this is how it seems like it should be in the US?

YUP!

Privacy laws are in place for very good reasons and perhaps those reasons do not exist or are different in Austrailia, I do not know. However, the damage that can be done to a person through this kind of violation can be life ending, career ending, and financially devastating.

Also, how many other people have been arrested for similar crimes that were not about Obama?? I guessing few to none. and if so, why the special treatment?

Why are you guessing few to none?

Seriously, what do you base that guess on? Anything? These are not new laws. They did not show up with Obama. That means there were privacy issues before Obama and laws about it before Obama, which would mean that chances are pretty good people get arrested for this more often that this one time but I am more than willing to hear you out.

Let's see...any idiot can by keystroke to keystroke spyware. Why? Because it is legal.

The government has gone beyond the pale in terms of invasion of privacy. We have israeli and US omnivore and narus sniffing all words, spoken and written, looking for any dirt they deem 'criminal'. An artificial intelligence...in the hands of madmen bent on globalization, if only to slake their ego demands. And to arrest...

I suspect you are somewhat unimaginative in your perspective on reality, but I will suggest nonetheless that you research scalar weapons. They are quite useful for cracking open one's mind, and invading it with pure hell. You have nothing to lose, because you will not understand it, and if you do grasp it, your fear centers will kick in and you'll laugh it off. I just want you to know.

Doesn't mean it is legal to use any way you want to.

I can buy a video camera...it is legal...but there are many things I can't legally videotape because of PRIVACY laws.

Your example doesn't make much sense.

Why should his records be public? BECAUSE HE'S THE FREAKING PRESIDENT.

The government knows more about EVERYONE in the country than about the US president's past.

Obama has spent hundreds of millions to protect his records. Why is that?

A free society should want to know EVERYTHING ABOUT THE GUY RUNNING THE COUNTRY. This is just plain common sense for god sake.

They should pass laws requiring all presidential candidates to release everything. About their former jobs, former schools, family... EVERYTHING.

BTW you people who think Obama is beyond all doubt who he claims he is, you should watch the trial Reverand Manning is planning soon, I think it's this weekend at the Columbia University. You might learn something.

EDIT: The trial starts tomorrow, May 14-19.

BTW, I liked Obama...back in early 07, when he was making good promises.. but then, he started pushing the globalist agenda and LYING AND LYING AGAIN AND AGAIN. Then he went to Bilderberg. Then he nominated all that scum from Goldman Sachs in his administration... He's a sell out, plain and simple.

I agree with your last paragraph. I too am not in favor of Obama. You have proven that you are able to use critical thinking, without resorting to nonsense. I commend you for that, seriously.

That said, I am amazed you are spouting the same nonsense that has been going around for a long time now. Except you changed it from 2 million to hundreds of millions. Care to cite a source?
