when I read OrphenFire's comment on applying your art to a graphic novel concept, the first thing that popped into my mind was how awesome it would be to incorporate ATS thread topics (there's kazzillions). And then you brought it up anyway, maybe that project has a good future in store? Second thing that popped into my head? How awesome it would be if members from around the globe published a graphic novel together... pipe dreams?

PS Mr mask, I really dig your style, a really strong form
The colouring on that mermaid? fish piece is awesome really.
I would say "I hate the way..." but I Love the way real artists like you and a very good few others posting here, can just draw and colour... it freaks me out! but i suppose it's the same with me and guitar, it may not always sound good, to you, but I take to it like a duck to water, I'm sure you feel the same with your art.

Interesting I had a similar idea some time ago - made a rough draft using some ATSrs IDs as character names but as always work/life got in the way so it drifted off but if you were interested in doing a pass the parcel style story where each contributor picked up where the other left off, I might be up for that..

Cool drawings everyone by the way..

Hello everyone!
Here's are some aliens ( female, male is much smaller ) I created for a comic book I wrote. It has 2 thumbs per hands and is evolved from what we would call insects.

So the 2 first pics are the females. These want to eliminate their males to reproduce exclusively by cloning. But not all female want this.

And a close up of the male.

Alien enough for you?

Rohdan, that M.C. Escher one is quite an amazing pic and was done by someone very talented indeed - there are quite a few other good ones here on the top right.

I'm loving the creativity of all the submissions here! Great Idea for a thread. How can u not love all this art?! Here's some Alien stuff I did in college. The pic on the bottom is a future representation of a light and sound machine called the Integratron, used to call down benevolent ships from the cosmos.

No sir, I can't claim it as my own. I have no artistic bone in my body. I found it on a Google search for "Ghanathoa".

Excellent! Could I read your comic book, please?

Your work is very good. It reminds me of Alan Davis for some reason. Very, very good!

Couple minutes with a sharpie and photoshop for some texture.

Obama and a good friend out for a walk. I hope this displays without being cut off. I didn't create the characters, I just animated them.

Thanks! Unfortunately, I haven't been published yet!
But this one is nearly finished, maybe I could post it in the comics thread?

That's some damn good comic inking. A while back I was working on some myself. Do you use pen, or ink and brush?

I attempted an idea similar to this a few years ago.

My idea at the time was to get descriptions from the many people here who claim to have seen these Aliens themselves. I was willing to model the different varieties of Aliens directly from eye witness descriptions. The response was not so good.

I became disillusioned when all those who claim to interact with these beings failed to participate and help with descriptions. I started to wonder if they were just spouting hot air.

it's Soccer indeed, mixed with some alien fun, had explained it above.
I would recommend a very nice artistic website, go there and type in search: Alien
You'll be amazed by the artistic results that you'd find, the site is:

Deviant Art

Thanks for bringing this site up. I LOVE Deviant Art. There are many things I've wanted to purchase from the site in the past but the things I like aren't for sale.

Hey... cool thread, and some excellent talent on display so far.

It made me realize that I've never attempted to draw an alien. I guess I didn't want it haunting me.

I did, however, sketch out an idea I had over 15 years ago, which I never got around to putting any more thought into.

Probably overused, but "Catch and Release" seemed to fit.

Looking forward to seeing some more!
