So apparently if you're born overseas and the birth is registered with the US embassy, you can be assigned a random SSN?

in the military, while you were in Japan, didn't your mail go through the San Francisco Post Office...
an SPO (or FPO?) number for your military address

i know for my tour in Germany, i had an APO address 09696 (Furth)
and mail came & went thru that delivery system...but once it got to NY the mail entered the USA postal system, and that was both its origin and/or termination point.
So technically for 3 years my legal address was a NY mailing address.

so too with the children's legal filing address, it would not have been Japan but rather SanFrancisco,
~but their birth place would still be the actual facility in that overseas place.

I was born in N. Carolina in 1953. I got my first job, and SS number in Indiana in 1968. the first 3 digits are 313, corresponding to Indiana.

Allrighty then. Since I have an utter appreciation of the absurd, I spent a whole 5 minutes contemplating various simple, logical explanations. If it is in fact true that SSN#'s are issued based on origin of state from which one has applied, here is a brief comparison of strikingly similar zip codes from Conn. and Hawaii.

The inadvertent juxtaposition of the leading digit (0,9) could EASILY explain the discrepancy.

Zip Codes by State

Defense rests.

Not too bad Miss Marples. I guess it would all depend on the data entry method of the era. In 10 key number pads the 0 and the 9 are on opposite ends of the board. In a straight Dvorak layout the 9 and 0 are adjacent.

Data storage systems were not widely standardized back in the late 70's. So you raise one possible explanation. Just like many others have raised. More than likely SSA was using the IBM 3740 back then in larger branch offices and something much smaller in a local office.

It is absolutely our business.

Your damn right that it is our business! We could all be thrown in jail for employing an illegal alien!

There is getting to be too many inconsistancies in Obama's documentation for it to be coincidence. All the man had to do was produce a birth certificate. Instead he spent over a million dollars to have a Court cover it up for him. If I was him, I'd stay the hell out of Arizona.

This is almost getting to be fun. How many of you even bother to read one of these threads before you post in them?

You do not employ the president.

He has, you just do not like it. I still have not see any document identification credentials from anyone on ATS yet though.

That is a blatant lie and kind of a silly one. How does one go about spending millions to hide something that is legally private already?

Feel free to PROVE otherwise.

If I was him, I'd stay the hell out of Arizona.

Arizona not only accepts the SHORT FORM that is widely available online to view but they insist they would need probable cause in the first place so... ya know.

I have to agree with the one posting about people who worked for years and not on the books.

Mostly the few I know are a family business or below min wage help (clearning ladies, babysitting/child caring, baking ops, does piece work from homes and janitors types that work for small businesses). It is possible. But I don't think the higher paying jobs and bigger companies could get away with it but...

I am sure the MSM blew right past this one, eveidently, so it is up to the little guy again to wage battle--that they most likely will never see an acceptable ending.

Or perhaps someone simply misread sloppy hand writing.

It is my firm belief the likelihood for human error coupled with many first hand inconsistencies voiced by other members could EASILY explain the ambiguity.

Regardless, the Birthers remind me of this flashy dude with the long hair and LOGIC the other guy.

Pow!

Funny!! I never pictured you with such long hair. Must be the new avatar.

I tried using the sloppy handwriting excuse my Freshman year of college when I landed on academic probation. It was definitely the teacher's fault or the person entering the data.

I did do some Google searches. It appears that Google fixed its snippet issue.

Now, it didn't put the WND story first but it did have this one from Western Jouralism titled (NoteL no date could be ascertained as to when put out):

The Mystery of Barack Obama Continues
Link to article: www.westernjournalism.com...

Which is an interesting piece also-more smoke and mirrors or just misunderstandings. You decide if you wish to read it. The one thing I saw there was what a lot of your posters mentioned: His Selective Service Application:

Pictured: Barack Obama’s 2008 Selective Service Card. “Blogger Debbie Schlussel has discovered solid evidence that Obama’s Selective Service registration form was submitted not when he was younger as required, but rather in 2008 and then altered to look older.”

As far as the Google searches: This thread doesn't show up unless you also type in Above Top Secret in. At that time anyway. Usually any ATS story I ever looked for was in the front of findings. Oh well.

Kindly present some hard evidence, irrefutable proof or facts and I will happily engage. In the meantime, I will continue to offset supposition, innuendo and bogus smears with casual assumptions.

Sorry you got busted in Junior College. I always had you pegged for an Associate kinda guy. Jr. College = high school with ashtrays.

I'd say you have a Masters in B.S.

To me the question isn't so much about the Connecticut SS# (although I agree it is an interesting rabbit hole to dig into), but more why does our President have so MANY different SS#'s?

Too much smell factor there! (something stinks)

I would suspect that 99.9999% of US citizens only have 1 SS#. To have 2 SS#'s is questionable, but to have many is a serious cause for law enforcement concern.

In somewhat related news. I just put up a post about LT COL. Larkin and his now scheduled court date.

Stupid question time,

How on earth did he get a paying job at 12/13? He was born in 1961. The year is 1974 that would make him like 12/13. Isn't that like a violation of child labour laws somehow?

Also, since when does Social Security Admin reserve a select list of numbers for a particular state? Typically you are assigned the next availible number.

There was a time when you did not recieve a social security number at birth. I was born around the same time as Obama and did not get a social security number until I was ready to sign up for the military at 17 years of age. When my mom marched all of us kids down to the Social Security office and got us all social security numbers all sequential which is rather weird. If Obama applied in person at a Social Security Office in Connecticut then his number will be a Connecticut number. In the 70s one did not neccesarily have to have a Social Security number to work especially if under tha age of 16 Obama would have been in 1975 Obama would have been 14 the same age as me pretty common for kids to work summer jobs back then.

I was born in the mid 70s and didn't get an SS card until I was in middle school. Basically, when IRS forms required your dependents to have SSNs, my mom went right to the SS office and got one for me.

A masters in BS. Can't get a Masters from a Junior College.

So, kinda kurious is snob afterall. Surprise Surprise... Now you have to resort to making fun of Junior College. Be careful, you may just insult your friend Mr. Gunderson.

Many students move on to traditional KK approved colleges and universities after obtaining their associate degrees. You are ripe today.

I will start with a quote...

When men are most sure and arrogant they are commonly most mistaken, giving views to passion without that proper deliberation which alone can secure them from the grossest absurdities.
David Hume

One day someone should compile all of the questionable issues with Obama. Makes you wonder about the rest of his administration.

Gladly......Take them all back.

A star from you equates to Colonel Sanders endorsing PETA.

I am a proud product of Junior College as well as Four year institution. Way to twist words. It is YOU who brought degrees/education into the conversation.

You are notorious for that. Feel free to go back and edit your replies, you are known for that too. BTW, introducing another member into a discussion by name is childish and immature.

I may not agree with all you write but I have to say you make me think. Thank you.

OK if you say so
I will try to leave the personal anecdotes out next time so as not to confuse you. Those twisted words I used can be mind altering.

If you are such a proud product of the Bonnie Bell school of beauty, why lay down such veiled and Alex P Keatonesque insults regarding my education background that you know nothing about?

Lastly, you may want to review your friends posts like you review mine (I'm flattered actually) He likes to drop your name when he is looking to strengthen a weak argument. Just look for the evil anti Obama threads...
