Facebook hires former Bush regulator for privacy defense

Facebook has hired lawyer Tim Muris, a former senior regulator in the Bush administration, to defend its privacy policies against government scrutiny.

According to the Financial Times, Muris has been appointed while the regulatory agency Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is examining complaints that have been made against the social network on the grounds of privacy. Formerly a chairman of the FTC, Muris is now a lawyer at law firm O'Melveny & Myers.

I believe this story is relevant as we have all known for some time that there was some fishy dealings between government agencies and Facebook through the interest of data mining.

With the connection that has surfaced here, it adds to the interesting little honeypot of seedy government agencies and connections to evil people.

If the government hate you they will make a page on facebook ridiculing you and putting your life up there.

Facebook makers should be in prison for bringing this sh1t invention of theres into existence. The government use cr1p like there site, to destroy people.

Well, that's comforting....

I guess it's only a matter of time before they re-write some laws and have the gestapo kickin' our doors in and torturing us to find out why we would put a status update about enjoying a fresh cup of columbian grown coffee instead of american coffee!!
