your sitting at home when you get the report on the news: Nukes are on their way to your country.

You know there is a small chance of survival but rather then sit on the couch you grab your bug out bag. You grab your gear and start making a path to your backup shelter, a fortress that can withstand the attack. Your going to need to fight your way to freedom, there will be street gangs roaming the streets, and food riots everywhere.

There is just one thing you need before you leave, your ipod and your playlist.

please post your theme music for bugging out at the end of the world.
mine would be:

Drowning Pool: Let the Bodies Hit the Floor

NO. You guys want motivation?

Nothing makes me want to kill anything and everthing like

Cline Dion

That 'music' is so bad you would be willing to kill yourself

edit: in seriousness. Anthrax, Rage Against the Machine, Primus, faster pussycat, Megadeath and maybe some Jackyl, got have a sense of humor

I have a hard time wrapping my head around your scenario, as I can't imagine bugging out with earbuds in, or listening to anything but my own hammering heart...

But, given the parameters as you outlined them, I'd probably select the "headbanger" playlist on my iPod and put it on shuffle. Just as an experiment, I'm going to do that now, and list the first ten that come up: (and yes, I realize the headbanger term was coined in the Led Zep days........ just means something a tad different to me)

1. Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) - Green Day (hey! I forgot about that -- That'd make a great bugout track!)
2. Tyler's Song - Coal Chamber (another good one! I think I'm on a roll)
3. I'm Afraid of Americans - Bowie (what are the odds??)
4. Muse - Asassin
5. Thu, September 27, 2007 Hour 1 - Glenn Beck (WTH??? What's that doing in "headbanger"........ oh wait, yeah. )
6. Hot Dog - Limp Bizkit WHOA! PERFECT! THE WINNER!
7. Soulfire - Soulfly
8. Lost Keys (Blame Hofmann) - Tool
9. Valley of the Dolls - GenX
10. Korn - Coming Undone

Thank You! You beat me to it hehe.
Myself, i'd have to go with Manowar: Black Wind, Fire, and Steel.
For those not old enough to remember-
"I am an outcast on the path of no return,
Punisher and swordsman; I was born to burn!
Black wind always follows
Where my black horse rides,
Fire's in my soul!
Steel is on my side!"

heh
*edit to add*
Followed by Within Temptation- Our Solemn Hour

"White Bird" by the band: "It's a beautiful day". Hearing that music after 30 yrs made me remember, love and joy are concious being's. I opened my eyes half way through the music, and knew I had been here before. I was in heaven
