The pilot.

If a stranger walks up to me and tells me that I have to kill some people I never met, I call him a lunatic and walk away.

BP may pay for this clean up now...but its us who will pay BP back...they are an oil company there is no way they will just lose this money

First off, the man giving you the order to drop is no stranger. He is your CO.
Second, when in the military, following orders is SOP. (standard operating procedure)
One must follow SOP in order to stay in accordance to the regulations of military service.

So you don't blame either guy in the latter statement, you blame the person who came up with the idea to use the a-bomb to win a war, in the beginning.

Can't blame the guy dropping the bomb, he's just following orders.
The ladder rungs climb higher and higher until you get to TPTB.

Or, conspiracists' in mind here, the top of the pyramid.

it's ALWAYS about the money, ALWAYS!!! Dont know about all the transactions and money changing hands. Saving 500K seem unlikely for an epic product like oil. Must be something more, isn't there Cheny!?!?

Look for nationalization of BP...

Don't you guys understand the problem here was not deregulation. The problem is any regulation at all. As soon as all regulations are removed the free market will take over and it's invisible hand will provide safety and prosperity for all. Dick Cheney was trying to protect us from the regulators and socialists who caused this disaster.

This wouldn't have happened on a Shell rig, they have the toughest guidelines in the industry, even if they are NWO.

Obama sure went quiet for a while, after his pushing earlier this year for 2 new wells in the gulf, stating at the time 'of the need to get America independent'-now WTF was that all about? and who is 'Transocean'?
Probably a subsidiary of 'Barrack industries'

You are kidding, right?
So Dick Cheyney is our best freind, protecting us from socialists?
The accident was probably due to the usual, i.e. Sloppy work, cost cutting, bad management, in short, a poorly maintained rig.
If you dregulate, every cowboy will come & drill the coast from Canada to New Orleans, only they won't because the big 5 will have beat them to it.
Either way, we are being screwed over, again.

I object to my tax dollars being applied to the clean up.
2nd line.

The idea that the guy dropping the bomb is blameless as he mindlessly obeyed SOP orders is ludicrous. Of course the blame rest squarely on the one with the trigger in his hands and not the idiot yelling do it.

An interesting perspective: things are done "just in case" a policy might need to be implemented or changed. Bombs were built into the twin towers years ago, and probably other important buildings "just in case." Oil rigs lack fail safes "just in case." Things aren't necessarily planned years ahead for specific purposes, but large catastrophes can be planned "just in case."

The one responsible was probably reading a childrens book or opening a new wing to a hospital on the moment it happened.

Fossils fuels my butt! This proves that oil IS NOT a fossil fuel. The real reason this happened is because BP was experimenting with DEEP DRILLING in the gulf. SO deep it proves that fossil fuels are not the origin of oil, because its so far down NOTHING was around at this strata level.

The Russians years earlier had proven this when they discovered oil at 40,000 ft. Now the theory is, is that these deep deposits feed the deposits above where all oil has been drilled up until the Russians did it. This is why we see cases of supposedly dried up oil wells replenshing. (this is why Russians are now wealthy again, from the newly discovered deep oil fields proving its not fossil fuels)

BP had NO IDEA how much pressure would result in puncturing this deep deposit. THEY ASSUMED it would be similar to the Russian deep well. Well THEY WERE WRONG and when the oil flowed up it was under tremendous pressure. More than had ever been seen before which broke all of their safety valves and ultimately caused the explosian.

The difference being the Russians did this ON LAND. Well BP had no problem experimenting in the gulf. Its much worse than anybody ever imaged and thanks to BP we have a disaster of Biblical proportions on our hands. They could have easily tried this on land and if an accident happened like this, clean up would have been much easier.

OIL hunters have struck black gold after sinking one of the world's deepest wells.

BP believes it has found a giant new oil field after drilling down 35,055ft in the Gulf of Mexico Noun 1. Gulf of Mexico - an arm of the Atlantic to the south of the United States and to the east of Mexico
Golfo de Mexico

Atlantic, Atlantic Ocean - the 2nd largest ocean; separates North and South America on the west from Europe and Africa on the east .

The field, named Tiber, needs to be surveyed but experts are confident its commercial potential is massive.

It is BP's second big find in that area of the Gulf. Oil analyst David Hart David Hart may refer to:
David Hart (actor) (born 1954), U.S. actor
David Hart (football), U.S. football player (see University of Pittsburgh Panthers)
David Hart (poet), British poet (see News from the Republic of Letters)

said: "They're saying that it's bigger than the Kaskida well that they discovered in 2006 and that was three billion barrels.

"So that would classify it as a giant discovery." The find is expected to quell fears over dwindling oil supplies.

The Tiber oil is said to be lighter and of a higher quality than Kaskida's, making it more attractive for development, which could cost billions of pounds. The two wells, about 250 miles off Houston, Texas “Houston” redirects here. For other uses, see Houston (disambiguation).
Houston (pronounced /'hjuːstən/) is the largest city in the state of Texas and the , will make it easier for BP to justify building a platform and pipeline to shore.

Experts claimed Tiber, in 4,132 feet of water, could increase BP's total US output from 910,000 barrels a day by 200,000 to 1.1million barrels by 2020.

Andy Inglis, BP's chief executive of exploration and production, predicted the wells would "support the continuing growth of our deepwater Gulf of Mexico business into the second half of the next decade." News of the find sent BP shares up almost 4 per cent to 539p.

And so this is how Palin enters the political arena, by excepting this judgement without a fight. The picture is now complete.

Personally, I think every single person in the COC that was instrumental in relaying that order, from start to finish, should be held accountable for the consequences of those bombs. Both then and now. "I was only following orders" doesn't cut the mustard when we're talking about the permanent destruction of life and habitat and the arrogance of disturbing natural things that human beings simply do not possess the intelligence to comprehend or the right to do.

It's something I often think about and will eventually get time to look into fully but....

We all take it as fact that Oil is a Fossil based substance... well is it? Seriously, is it? There is so much of the stuff at all sorts of depths then could this be a natural product?

I need to read..... when I get time.

I remember last week NPR had the CEO of BP on the air in an interview. The propaganda piece was designed to convince the audience that BP was going to pay for it ALL.

We know the truth now, that WE THE PEOPLE are going to pay for most of it, BP will throw in some chump change.

These SOB's are literally destroying our world and charging us for it.

BP is only responsible for up to 70 million in clean up.
We will pay for it.

So, Cheney changed the policy so that oil companies could skimp on safety device and Haliburton is in line to clean up the mess. Meanwhile TransOcean makes $250 million in profit. All we have to do now is figure out who blew the well?

This is beginning to look like an "environmental false flag" operation.
