Drew Carey calling Obama out over the oil spill on latenight TV! [video]

...a month before it happened...

He was on the Wanda Sykes Show, which if you don't know, is a fairly new show that competes with NBC's Saturday Night Live on saturday nights... So it's a "big time" mainstream media production...

Well Drew Carey (comedian, tv star, current Price Is Right host) was on her show and they got to the subject of obama, and any time Wanda would ask Drew his opinion about the president, he'd go right to implying that Obama did a very bad thing by OKing offshore drilling, and is the biggest celebrity I've seen so far taking such a public stance against the administration.

Around 8:40 in the video Wanda says..

Hey, big news this week... President Obama announced that he's allowing offshore drilling in new areas...
...Some people are giving him crap for it saying he's flip-flopping, you know, because during the campaign he said he would protect the coast line...

Her and her three guests go back and forth about flip-flopping, but then Drew says

...It's not that he changed his mind, it's that he's doing such a heinous thing as allowing oil drilling off of virginia and florida... that's what people are mad about...

Wanda: I just, I just think he's being a good politician...
Drew: That's a good thing to you, being a good politician? He'd drilling for oil right off the coast of...
Wanda: blablabla, [parroting the typical mainstream suggestions for change]
Drew: Well why doesn't he make two good decisions instead of two bad ones? It's not a good idea to drill off the coast...

I don't have time to finish watching the video, but this^ is just from the first interview segment, and I think it's something that more people should see.

And I know he's obviously not calling obama out on the current Louisiana spill, but the things he said definitely underline a few important points...

I don't think it's so much what Drew said as Wanda said....

Even if it's actually against the partise ideologies, the Green people's ideologies and even if no Liberal really wants to drill for oil ..... it's just they cannot turn their backs on their hero. He could order the military in Iraq to only shoot babies and Liberals would say he's just doing a wonderful job, best president ever.

Eventually I think Liberals .. maybe not Progressives, but Liberals in general will realize he's a tool, a sell out .. just like many conservatives realized the same thing about Bush.

Rockpuck, I'm pretty sure a lot of "liberals" (at least all of the ones I have interacted with) despise Obama almost as much as Bush, and certainly even more so progressives disagree with his policies. You must be in the company of some pretty dim witted lefties, I mean anyone with access to a computer or a newspaper and a memory which lasts as far back as Obama's campaign speeches can see how miserably contradictory he is, which should be no surprise to anyone in the first place.
