What the heck, are you going on about then?

It seems like an awful lot of work to try and convice us of what you're not. Or, are you trying to convince yourself, you're not?

I would have no problem If my daughter wanted to marry a black man. As long as he's only 1/2 black. Not wesley snipes black.

I have a few stories to add to this thread.
First, my thread on this type of thing------>www.abovetopsecret.com... Whacky "I Guess I'm a Racist" Anti-Health Reform Commercial. A New Low

Secondly, back during the campaign, I was talking to my cousin about who he was voting for. He said,"Well I ain't votin' for a socialist." Then I described how wealth distribution has been going on for the last thirty years, TO THE TOP!

Then he said,"Well, I ain't votin' for someone who can't even prove he was born here." Then I responded, "His birth certificate is online for all to see, and the republican governor of Hawaii has confirmed it's validity."

Then he started to walk away in a huff and mumbled, "All I know is I ain't votin' for no spook!"

So that's what it really came down to...race. How many people in this country voted for McCain based on this same position? Be honest with yourself.

And lastly, a view into the thoughts of some racists:
I am in Alabama, a notoriously racist state. (Don't try to defend it, I've lived here 40 years, I know!) Your average white person says the N-word about every black person that cuts them off in traffic, cuts in line at the store, wears their pants on the ground, or is just walking down the road. Racism is alive and kicking around here. However, your average white person in Alabama also dislikes rednecks too, which are viewed as white versions of N-words or wiggers.

How about the "You're a racist?" Would that be better... seeing as it's the correct spelling?

If you aren't going to use perfect grammar yourself, please refrain from being a grammar Nazi.

Lesson one: "..." does not equal ",".

There you are, how do you enjoy that, friend?

the racist card is not created & or used to make everyone think you're a racist.

It's used to change the flow of the conversation when someone is losing an argument.

It was created so that when someone with a strong will comes along to stand up for what they believe in that is contradictory to the agenda of said card-holder, that there is an easy way out to a sure-fire victory.

People use it to distract those like you into arguing the validity of any such card.

If it doesn't work on you any longer, then you should not be posting about it, you should be ignoring it.

Neglect becomes your ally.

And then on the other hand - sometimes a person really is being a racist A-hole and is properly labeled as such.

Thus creating another outlet for a truly racist person to say "he's just using the race card"

Rush Limbaugh is a fan of this.

Extremes go in both directions.

Glad you've done all your research and you can only present us with facts. Sure some people are racists no doubt. This country is more diverse than anywhere else on earth. All the problems with countries not liking eachother very much stems from racism as well. I.E china/india and america has all these people living next to each other. I think the biggest issue is not racism, but when a certain group of people causes problems or issues that a large number of people do not like... Such as illegal aliens. People in my oppinion would be more apt to ignore them if they weren't linked to so much crime and stealing and if they did pay taxes and didn't send so much of their money earned back to mexico. They are in the spotlight because of what they do to get there. Just like when accorn recently came in the spotlight and their public support fell dramatically. It's not racism just the difference between right or wrong. And illegals are not exactly in the right...

To all the people that use the race card, It is worn out and does not work anymore. I know what I am and I know what Im not. I do not like President Obama. I probably never will. I think he's ruining this country more than it already is. I did not vote for him. I think he's a liar. I think he's fake and it's not because he's black believe it or not. I think we should deport all illegal aliens, build huge walls on the southern boarder and enforce our already existing laws. Is this because Im racist against Mexicans? No. I happen to have a problem with seeing parts of my country turning into 3rd world status. Im tired of seeing more Mexican flags than American flags. Im tired of seeing (In Mexican neighborhoods) dogs being abandoned and getting hit by cars. Does this sound racist? I really don't care what it sounds like. You see I know myself better than you do, and I am not racist. You can call me racist all you want, It does nothing. It wont deter me in anyway. I could go into further detail in proving to you Im not racist but I really don't care what you think. I don't want to get into debates over Illegal Immigration or Our fine President. I just wanted to let some of you know that it is possible to have these views and not be a member of the kkk. ( I may have put in wrong thread. If so please relocate)

Then why does it bother you so?

"O coward conscience, how dost thou afflict me!"

Maybe op you would have better off pointing out how you won't be labeled a racist by racists. It's all the rage these days to point out a white person being racist, but heaven forbid you show them their living in a glass house
I especially love the school taught propoganda that is dead wrong. Everyone is racist not just whites everyone. But then again that is not pc.

And exactly how does not wanting your daughter to marry a black or hispanic man make you a racist? I'd kind of like that explained to me.

Webster's New World Dictionary defines spook as an undercover agent or spy.

Perhaps it's just your locality, but i've never in my 30 years heard the word "spook" refer to anything but an agent of the c.i.a. ....Methinks that what he was referring to are our President's ties to the c.i.a., and how much like the birth of a certain religious figure, his political career seemed to "come out of nowhere", seeing as how even his "classmates" don't even remember him. (I'm pretty sure that I would know if the next president was someone I went to school with, even were it from grade school...)

The only people the race card doesn't work on is racists.

Racist: I hate all those damned dirty ________.

Race card puller: Wow, can you be any more racist?

Racist: Hell no. I'm as racist as they come.

Race card puller:

Race card had no effect.

Cause he only stated Mexican or Black. Those were the only two pieces of information you had about the person.

If you say no, just based on Black Or Mexican, then yes, you are a racist.

If he had said, Black Terrorist or Mexican Drug Lord, then he can't call you a racist cause you could be against Terrorism and Drugs and not the color of their skin or nationality.

In the way he said it, they made a judgment on the color, not the person.

For the record I'm certainly not a racist, I married into color and have children of different nationalities

Wow.

Are you kidding me? This is why, no matter how many racist right wing fanatics scream that race has nothing to do with the issue, we just don't believe you.

Tac, you completely destroyed your own post. I believe congratulations is in order for a job well done.

Exactly. Calling a racist a racist has never deterred them from being racist, it's just prevented them from bothering the rest of us in the 21st century from listening to their overtly racist drivel, and allowed us to educate future generations on how to respect their fellow human beings.

I'm sure most of the people who were vehemently against desegregation are probably still against it, decent people just don't allow them to spout their crap any more...so they hide it or drum other ridiculous labels (Socialist, Marxist, Muslim, Kenyan, Gay, Drug addict, White hater, etc.) because they know if they screamed what they really thought, they'd never get their way.

Luckily Obama is half black, I'd hate to see what you thought of his policies if he was "Wesley Snipes" black.

Most people who aren't racists don't feel the need to explain how Unracist they are. Even bringing up the subject of racism is very revealing.

I much more respect a person that acknowledges their prejudices than someone that feels the need to lie to themselves and others, just to keep the heat off.

OP, I'm not saying you fit either of the above descriptions; it's just my perception on the matter.

And for the record I have plenty of prejudices; but I don't feel the need to reveal them or excuse them except for my disgust of people with unusually large ears.

They need to be exterminated and right now!!!
