Shouldn't they already be there?

WASHINGTON: Several lawmakers are urging the Obama administration to put the Pakistani Taliban on a US State Department terrorism blacklist that would impose sanctions on the group, which officials say is linked to the failed Times Square car bombing in New York.

In a letter Tuesday to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, at least five Democratic senators asked Tuesday that the group, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, be designated a ''foreign terrorist organization.''

Uh...
If the Taliban is as bad as it is supposed to be, then why isn't this group already on it. Surely the US Government already knew there had to be a Taliban in Pakistan. Being so close to Afghanistan and all, and sharing a highly remote and ungoverned border with Afghanistan.

This sounds like a lot of smoke and mirrors to me. If the Taliban is that bad of a group somewhere and they are closely related to the Afghanistan group, then they should all be just as bad and already on the list.

This is just reactionary politesse that means absolutely nothing but an attempt to obfuscate the truth and placate the sheeple who still believe the US Government is doing all they can in this "war on terrorism."
