Obama Wants Microsoft To Make a Video Game About US Budget

gizmodo.com

Showing yet again that the prez is down with the kids, Obama's pitched Steve Ballmer the idea of creating a video game...about the US budget. His "down with the kids" campaign is a little rusty, it appears.

Erskine Bowles, from Obama's administration, says that the game "would enable anyone with a computer to take a stab at balancing the budget" and would definitely "go viral."

So we have the POTUS railing against the IPad, XBOX, Playstation, & PC gamer users, but little was mentioned about his own administrations motives to provide an application geared for those mediums.

Obama lately has been managing to pull Biden like gaffes left and right. I wonder if Biden is feeding info into his Teleprompters.

When starting a new game, players may choose between various scenarios, some of which have set objectives while others are more akin to a "sandbox" mode.

Similarly to other government simulation games like Democracy, the player assumes the role of the chief executive of their chosen nation such as the President of the United States of America or the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Unlike in the Democracy series the player may amend the constitution of their chosen state and run it as a dictatorship.

I see you completely missed the point and intent of what he was saying.

Go figure.

Could this be a game that allows the POTUS and Government to either:

A - Sit back and learn how to balance budgets, cut spending, stimulate economies, etc...from everyday folks (kids), because they OBVIOUSLY aren't very good at it. They keep track of online players who actually do well in this game and then copy those moves and call it their own if they work once implimented.

or

B - Use this as a testing ground to see how smart people are about money, budgets, etc....using this as a measuring stick to see how much more BS they can pull and get away with because they can.

Of course the common sense side of me says this game wouldn't exactly be a huge seller....unless its coming with some incentives.

Oh you mean the point about getting out and excercising such as playing golf which he has done quite a lot or challenging head of states to a little one on one B-ball.

Or the point that these mediums are bypassing MSM filters that don't allow for manipulative news to presented.

I am just trying to point out that he and his administration are out there telling industries to make games while he denies knowing what such applications are or doesn't know how to use the medium they are invented for. Though in the back of my mind, I am thinking he is practicing his budgetory skills using this very game.

You are right, he didnt start them, but like a true gambling addict he went all in with a pair of dueces.

This is probably all just a way for him to justify making X-Boxes the next entitlement.

What is next.. Halo-Liberal where you gun down every American business owner and blow up the jobs?

I find this repugnant.

We have the CEO of UNITED STATES INC. pitching an idea on a video game?

Well, maybe in the beginning of the game they should have the money tree (federal reserve) have a little special prize virtual reality money creator be a side quest. Get the NY fed computer system that is linked to Goldman Sachs hyper reality software program that manipulates the stockmarket, as the prize for the sidequest.

Or, they can just create a frelling brainwash propagandist game, that makes people believe that fiat currency has actual value.

I swear, this country is going to burn in fire and brimstone.

Incentives?

Hell, there is precedent set, just make it a mandatory purchase.

It will help the collective, so there you go!

At least the guy ACKNOWLEDGES the countries budget and the economy. If the monster that RUINED the country before him were still in office, he wouldn't even put an OUNCE of thought into this mess, and it would not be far-fetched in the least to believe that the unemployment rate would be over 50% by this stage. And of course in USUAL REPUBLICAN FASHION, the DEBT would continue to rise at a BREATH-TAKING rate, benefiting NOBODY BUT THE WEALTHY and screwing the middle class over without an ounce of guilt.

You put that free in there to piss me off didn't you.

Well if we took all the pay from the federal government and their related subsidiaries like the federal reserve and all the alphabet soup components, I would then consider it to be FREE.

Tell you what, I wonder if they include in the game, a tax percentage difference between normal people and anyone affiliated to the federal government?

Set that at a 3X component. Meaning whatever tax is placed on the normal person is say 10% income tax then it becomes 30% for the federal government employees. If the states or cities have income or property taxes the same applies.

Call it the 3X tax law!

Yes, Obama has saved us.

Jeez. Please refrain from stating that if the Tarp and other failures that OBAMA and his cohorts VOTED for, would not have been implemented, the country would have burned.

The lies that some people believe. Pffft.

I would never piss off a man who goes by the name The End is Nighe. That would be like peeing on Clint Eastwoods leg while he is holding the most powerful handgun in the world.

I do agree that government workers should pay triple the taxes at least. I mean if anyone understands the importance of the collective it has got to be government workers.

The strange thing is Obama is giving them free student loans if they come and work for the government and serve their country by being overpaid, over pensioned, over benefitted, and under worked. It is almost as if he sees a huge need for people to serve their government and join forces with them in the future.

Ahhh, I am sure he didnt mean anything by it. Just being nice, as usual. That man sure does look good in a new suit and I love the twinkle when the lights from the teleprompter reflect off his eyes.
