Way to go buddy, become the Borg.
Yes that's true, you won't find these rednecks protesting when Italian-americans celebrate whatever italian stuff they do in little Italy. The only difference here between italian-americans and mexican-americans is that one group can assimilate easier on the basis of the color of their skin, and not have to face the same level of discrimination that mexican-americans routinely undergoe in the U.S.

The white protesters do not realize that celebrating ancestral roots, doesn't make them any less american than any other immigrants.

With all due respect, who do you believe should have the burden of fitting in? Tolerance and understanding is one thing, but asking for changes that inconvenience and discriminate against people already living there is a recipe for disaster. People just refuse to the see it from the point of view of the host country. How do you think illegal immigration affects people living there? Why should legal citizens have to sacrifice their happiness and welfare so that illegal persons can get by? Would you defend illegal Americans in Mexico? Would you be open and receptive to White Americans who have no desire to integrate into the country's culture and identity?

This is the racial bias and xenophobia I am talking about, what about Italian-Americans? How come when they celebrate whatever it is, italian pride day, and around the United States they have Franciscan churchs and so on. That there aren't many protests against Italians who want to celebrate their ETHNICITY in america?

No one is yellin at them because they do not see Italian-americans as foreigners, but it's a fact Italians used to be discriminated against when they first arrived in America.

As far as illegal immigrants go, the people and companies who hire them instead of hiring american citizens are strangely over looked. People here are like the Nazi's look for a scape goat to blame.

Are a significant number of Italian-Americans entering, working and residing in the USA illegally? That's probably the reason why their culture is more easily accepted.

Well it kinda makes me mad.

How can you be freakin' living in AMERICA and knock down the American flag?!

Everything that represents freedom, choice, happiness, (hopefully) equality, beauty (have you SEEN California's redwood forests?) and peace.

But then again, we don't know what causes the incident. He might have done it in a fit of anger after being racially bullied. I'm not going to jump to conclusions and start calling him racial names and generically insulting the race which is what may have led the kid to do it in the first place.
