There is a special thing about these fuel cells, they are REVERSIBLE. Now imagine it going in reverse... what do you have?

The world is,however, awash in fuel, hydrocarbons.

That brings up a point worth mentioning. An oil well technician working on the gulf oil deposit was asked about the magnitude of the Gulf oil deposit. His response was that the limitation was not the amount of oil but rather whether the atmosphere contained enough O2.

Interesting perspective! Might be stretching it a bit but not far off considering the overall oil reserves in the gulf, the oil shale, tar sands, coal reserves, north slope, Russian reserves and on and on.

Nuclear is too expensive, oil, coal and natural gas produce to much greenhouse gas, solar, wind, hydro are inefficient and at most could produce 1 or 2% of our needs.

Sort of back to square one without some new technology which, well doesn't seem to be forthcoming.

That's the obvious answer.

More like a state converter (as an oversimplified way to explain it). Put one of these devices at each end of a long conduit, and you have a device that can help transport materials as long as it can convert it. It doesn't have to be hydrogen and oxygen, as those are just a simpler combination to make the reaction work by itself (i.e. lightning).

People often overlook plasma. The fuel cell actually proves that there really is no superstate of gas and liquid, yet they are of the same state, and the superstate is like a higher frequency of the state. To say gas and liquid are the same state defies the basic phenomena noticed of a surface across an ocean. The real difference is amount of space inbetween the molecular structures otherwise they are the exactly the same in physicalness. With we break the states down to just physicalness, then we have:

1) Solid: crystallized molecular structures, stable form, molecular positions don't move, frozen
2) Gas & Liquid: molecular positions move yet weak and strong bonds hold, only molecular stability, form is unstable
3) Plasma: non-molecular forms and non-forms (from physical forms to going beyond physics into QM)

With this model, we can say the surface of the ocean is really just based on the frequency of our state of being. If we lived in a higher form of frequency, we would see the surface rise or lower to the appropriate reaction level between solid and plasma states. It's based on perspective... or actually the perception is an aspect of the frequency for which the viewer sees or device detects.

I'm not being very detailed in that explanation, sorry. Our basic senses are obviously based off H2O reactions, yet the sulfur based lifeforms we find at the bottom of the ocean near volcanoes probably won't see of feel the surface of water like us carbon based do. (There still is surface tension and minerals, so we can account for these also.)

There have been very wide-spectrum radio-chromatography across the galaxy, which proves of these signatures.

Everything we have considered an atomic element is really a quantum computer. Not hard to understand this viewpoint once you have played with fuel cell concepts for awhile. It gives thermodynamic physicist headaches with their attempts to explain it with special relativity, because they try to treat gas and liquid as separate states. I think it is meant to be a test in science for those the "get it" and those that "don't get it." Even science says scientific proof requires a "control" and it just happens to be evil like that to use it's own students.

Such a system could be used to study a fairly large object that exhibits 'superposition', in which a single object can be in multiple states or places simultaneously.
