Seventeen-year-old locked in toddler's body could unlock key to ageing

A 17-year-old girl who is trapped in the body and mind of a toddler could help scientists unlock the key to ageing, according to scientists.

Brooke Greenberg, who will be old enough to vote next year, has failed to develop physically or mentally and remains just 30 inches tall with a mental age of a one-year-old.

Initially doctors were baffled and dubbed her unexplained condition, Syndrome X.

Wow, this story is amazing. the possibilities here are scary to say the least. The key to stopping the ageing process could very well lie in this girl/woman.

Unfortunatly, she may end up being a lab rat in which loads of test will be done on this poor girl.

Never the less it's an incredible story and it will be interesting to see where this goes.

Whatever the scientists find, will we ever really find out?

you'ld think that God, or the Son, perhaps the Holy Ghost would bless a body with non-aging so humanity could back-engineer the reason/cause !!

i am surprised some billionaire is not offering her money for her blood to be tested to synthasize a cure to aging we could all be immortal or at the very least age really really slowly ...........hmmm!!!!

Imagine if they were able to pinpoint everything that's wrong with her genes and then map that to every human and slow those genes down enough in order to develop but not be too young or too old.

Then we'd be able to truly say we have overpopulation issues.

Good question, it will be very very interesting to see how long she lives. Who's to say by the time she's 200 yrs old, she will not have the mind of a 20yr old??!!

Never heard of a 1 year old trying to commit suicide before.
