And this while KBR is about to be sued by Obama's Justice Department. Gotta love the 'Change', don't cha? The more things change, the more they stay the same.

KBR to Get No-Bid Army Work as U.S. Alleges Kickbacks (Update1)

KBR Inc. was selected for a no-bid contract worth as much as $568 million through 2011 for military support services in Iraq, the Army said.

The Army announced its decision yesterday only hours after the Justice Department said it will pursue a lawsuit accusing the Houston-based company of taking kickbacks from two subcontractors on Iraq-related work. The Army also awarded the work to KBR over objections from members of Congress, who have pushed the Pentagon to seek bids for further logistics contracts.

The Justice Department said the government will join a suit filed by whistleblowers alleging that two freight-forwarding firms gave KBR transportation department employees kickbacks in the form of meals, drinks, sports tickets and golf outings.

Obama has very little power, why do you think they call it "acting president" he is just acting the part, the shadow government calls all the shots.

What do you expect from Bush III? Seriously?

No no, that's an honest to God question. Not rhetorical.

What. Do. You. Expect.....?

And if you have otherworldly expectations, then it's your own fault for blindly following.

The President is also called the Commander-In-Chief of the U.S. military.

Did you really expect Obama to do anything different? This is the same guy that used Blackwater for security when he was on a troop visit to Iraq while running for President.

Criticize your opponent for using the best resources available, but when you are in charge, you do the same? That's Obama for you.

Yup. I think Obama is having Holder join the suit against KBR to keep his Socialist agenda seekers happy while having the Pentagon sign a new no-bid contract with them because they know they are the best for it.

Shows the blatant hypocrisy of the left when it comes to their beliefs and their actions.

The ARMY gave this to KBR. It was the ARMY'S decision.

Obama is CinC of the armed forces, but he's not king of the Army. He doesn't get to make ALL the decisions.

The Army announced its decision yesterday
...
The Army didn’t put this work out for bids because U.S. commanders in Iraq advised against it, saying that enlisting a new company would be too disruptive as the U.S withdraws, Army program director Lee Thompson said in an interview before the Justice Department action was announced.

Obama's name isn't mentioned in the article, it's just there to place blame on him for something he didn't do.

The Army has canceled a competition for new contracts to provide support services in Iraq. Instead, it will use the existing contract with KBR until U.S. forces leave Iraq in December 2011. That sole-source contract, known as LOG-CAP Three, has been controversial because of cost overruns and management problems. The Army's announcement came hours after the Justice Department joined a false claims lawsuit against KBR, alleging kickbacks from two subcontractors, according to GovExec.

And the U.S. Army is part of the U.S. Armed Forces. All the Joint Chiefs and the Defense Secretary report to the President, who is ultimately responsible for what happens in the U.S. military, especially the Pentagon. Please don't try to put out that the U.S. Army is a self governing body and they did this on their own to defend Obama, because everyone knows that is not the case.

OK...So as long as we a happily using possesives to suit our silly spin why isn't the headline...

Obama's Justice Department files suit against KBR for taking kickbacks

Both are stated in your OP.

Are both not factually equivelant?

Your Op only has merit if you are willing to abandon without any reservations logical thought in favor of far reaching political spin and not worry about reconciling those two items with actual thinking.

It seems to me that anything that can remotely be construed as a negative action by a governmental body immediately is termed "Obama's" by the right wing spin machine while any positive action by governemnt is met with the sound of crickets.

And sometimes that is even demonstrated in a single spun paragraph like your OP.

It makes it very difficult to take anything these spin machines produce seriously.

Cheney+Halliburton. At least we now know that he couldn't possibly EVER had the power to award them no bid contracts in Iraq only being Vice President.

I guess this clears his name. I think some people need to start an apology thread for our former VP

No. You don't get it. Something 'magical' happened in the collective mind of the left when Obama took his oath of office where the President is no longer responsible for what happens in the Dept. of Defense. Pink unicorns and flying pigs are extremely jealous of this feat, I tell you!
